Matt is over the top about ensuring that listeners know how enlightened and evolved he is where race relations are concerned. He would NEVER make a racist remark. He used a figure of speech in making a remark about using a closer in a situation where perhaps he wasn't really needed. I am sure he meant nothing by it and probably feels terrible that anyone might have been offended by it. This was a ridiculous thread.

But to your point, I don't listen to Pants anymore so I wouldn't know about his racial credibility. I would guess a lot of people on Twitter don't either (including Gonzales). As I said initially, it was likely he meant absolutely no ill will. Doesn't mean it isn't a poor choice of words. He agreed with me when he deleted it. Thread makes sense.
