You have absolutely no reason to feel as comfortable with Theo the big money free agent hunter as you do with Theo the prospect finder.

You do if you remember the good ones (Ortiz, Schilling, Mueller) instead of focusing on only the negative to attempt to prove your flawed point

And if Theo's failures are gonna be hitting 24 homeruns and 80+ RBI, Im even ore optimistic for the future.

Hatchetman, he's a huge failure? What was your expectation for Rizzo?

So far, best owner record in my lifetime.

Actually, didn't Sam Zell own the team for like 4-5 seasons and they won 2 division championships?
That's a good %. At least it's something.

Ortiz was a player picked off the scrap heap after he was non tendered during his arbitration years. Mueller was a minor deal that hit big. Schilling was a trade, the 10th anniversary of which will occur in the next few months.

You confident Rizzo will hit 24? It seems like he had 15 by about June .

The Cubs are currently 16 games out of the WC, so you expect them to be a mere 6-8 games better next year? I thought 76-81 wins was what some of you all were predicting this year?

We've gone from Theo walking on water and competing for divisions and pennants in 2015, to being within 10 games of the playoffs next year.

Continue to send Theo your thoughts and prayers.

Did anyone not read the preseason projections on Rizzo? .250-.260 average, 20-25 HRs, 85 RBI. So he's .18 points below his minimum. Big deal.

Obviously GD is trolling. Tomorrow he'll find another way to tell us the Cubs suck. Maybe later today if he's ambitious enough. I wouldn't expect anything less. It's not like the Sox are doing anything worthy enough to capture his attention. But Cubs fans calling Rizzo a disappointment aren't really paying attention.

Do you think just anyone can analogize scripture regarding Peter's failed attempts to walk on water with Theo's tenure with the Cubs? I think I have done some brilliant work in this thread which, while not unnoticed, certainly hasn't received its proper adulation.

None of that changes anything. Those are three trade/fa acquistions that were brilliant and led directly to a World Series and that WS is the one people DONT want to credit him with.

Sure it has, I printed it out and used it to wipe my ass just last night.
