Said he thought the QB played poorly despite the QB rating (98.3).
Nice objective stance, Mackeyfish.

I dont think he was terrible, but it defnitely could have been better... QB ratings doesnt paint the whole picture

The good:
the td pass to marshall was perfectly thrown
The read option pass play was well executed by cutler

The bad:
one of his sacks was cutlers fault for not throwing the ball away
the INT was a terrible decision

mixed bag, like most games for cutler

That INT was horrendous. This guy will never get it.

He fumbled and threw an interception in the short time he was on the field, so criticism is warranted. His TD to interception ratio has never been good and it continues to be an issue. He was playing against a lousy team and yet completed passes to exactly 1 receiver???? He still has not completed a single pass to his new TE either. Lots of things we are not seeing that we should have by now. The next game will include more game-planning and I hope we will see a more diversified offense, with the ball spread around to 5-6 different receivers (including backs and the TE). WITHOUT the interceptions!

So exactly what is the difference between Cutler and Rex Grossman?

Oh yeah,Grossman WON an NFC Championship game!

I'm afraid of this upcoming season. Didn't Cutler suck with many INT's under Ron Turner, who also ran the west coast offense? The guy behind Cutler didn't look real sharp either. It might be a long season unless Cutler discovers that a dump pass to Forte can also turn into a big play.

Cutler gives the Bears a better chance to win than Grossman does/did. That's the major difference.

I bet he is gone even if he has a decent season. He is still to much of a "do whatever the fuck I want to" guy. For this new offense to work correctly all the time you can't have that.

I bet he gets benched if the Bears start out 1-5. Your description is right on though.
