Can B&B make a rule that no caller is allowed to make an analogy?

Bernsie always jumps on their jock before they can even spit it out.

Conns, Ive been meaning to ask you, I know you're involved with youth sports. Do they still allow headers in youth soccer?

I saw a coach practicing them and thought that was odd

For as many times as Dan makes fun of reporters and their fake laughter, he and Terry sounded like someone was feathering their ball sacks during the Bennett interview.

Just started tuning in and a montage of Ditka endorsing items. Who gives a shit? Ripping on Ditka is old and a lazy topic. Once again, just blowing up something so inconsequential into way more than it is, and of course being hateful about it.

I think this has been going on the whole time I've been listening again for the last couple years, but I think I'm noticing it more and its starting to annoy the fuck out of me. This is the third time or so this has happened to me over the duration of this entire show's history.

My boss has 2 daughters that have played soccer at a pretty serious level, one of them will probably get a D-1 scholarship. He has told me he would much rather have a son playing football than soccer, because at least they have something on their head.

Ripping on the business of the NHL. If only MBAs Boers and Bernstein were commissioners then the NHL would be thriving!

Does Dan Bernstein need me to talk to my kids about deferred tax liabilities?

But as a business, the NHL is complete shit ... or maybe only 3 teams turning a profit is a good business model and I'm crazy. So I have no problem with them lampooning something objectively bad, as is the case here.

I don't care if they criticize the NHL but at least be correct if you're the "smart" fan. Shit like:

"If the NHL is doing so well then why would they need a lockout to lower their salary cap?!"

Given their conclusion the NFL and NBA must hemorrhaging money.

"I don't know why Canadians teams make money under the NHL's crappy television deal. Must be the merchandise sales or local TV revenue"

NHL brokers a separate national TV deal with Canadian stations.

I just love when they talk so confidently about shit they know nothing about. The Cubs/Wrigley thing is another subject they are hilarious with.

We need to get organized as a board and call into Hub to get his thoughts on outlandish B&B positions. Hub just voiced his concern on the Bears OL, a position that both Terry and Dan have been overeager to state will not be a problem.

Wrong. The money from the contracts with CBC and TSN/RDS is all divided among all thirty teams, just like the NBC contract. However, the teams do have lucrative local TV deals with TSN (Jets and Habs*) and Rogers Sportsnet (the other five). When the CBC/TSN contract expires, it's expected that the new deal, being negotiated with a seventh Canadian team in play and the NHL's popularity rising and rising in Canada, will bring in a lot of money for everyone. While yes, CBC/TSN prefer to show Canadian teams (especially against one another, or Buffalo/Detroit in a pinch), it's because they choose to show them the same way NBC only chooses to show the Penguins and Rangers.

*The Canadiens present their games in English and French. The English telecasts are on a gametime-only subfeed of TSN only made available to Quebec and the Maritimes, while the French télédiffusions are available nationwide on RDS (which is the Quebecois TSN, which itself is the Canadian ESPN) as part of TSN's national contract, which is kind of ass-backwards if you stop and think about it too much, so my recommendation is that you don't.
