I'd again like to salute everyone. This thread was old school.

There are the obvious concerns with this getting hijacked like Punk. Here's why I think we might be OK. Seth Mates had an interesting point about the difference between Punk and Bryan. While Bryan got himself over just like Punk, Bryan is being positioned as the guy. I don't know if Punk really had the backing of the company as "the guy" at any point. Even when Punk was champion, he wasn't really number one. Orton is champion, but he isn't "the guy" going forward. It's DB. The company is positioning him as the number one guy. At least until elbow tit is back.

The McMahon's want to get back to a point where their appearance on a show instantly pops ratings. That hasn't happened for years. If they bury DB, instead of get involved in a hot program, they will go back to being authority figures when nothing else is working. Could this all get messed up? Of course it could, and history tells us the chances are good. But there's always the chance we're about to go through a boom period for nerds.

So that's where Arianne's lost boob went.

That Nikki Bella really is devious.

Total Divas show isn't hurting Bryan's mainstream appeal either. He comes off like a very good, regular dude.

The horrible god awful abomination of a segment with Lawler killed Fandango. Who every wrote that should have been shot out behind the barn.

Here's an example of KS watching a different show during the rant. It's addressed perfectly. Including a Stephanie cock bump.

Respond to Johngy and he'll follow you.

Even if you express shock at a happy parent's sister.

I thought it was a good show, would have been better with my ending.

I give it a 65% chance that creative fucks this up. The one thing that might really keep them from totally messing it up is if Cena and Punk stay 100% away while they heal. While Randy looks like a champ his grappling and mike skills say otherwise. What is going to make the show suck is Randy having to carry the ball,he can't not with the talent they have him up against. As much as I hate myself for saying it,Sheamus would be a good fit in the mix right now.

The one thing creative is totally fucking up right now is the Sandow/Rhodes feud. They should of had Dusty and Golddust pop up already.

See, I disagree with this - and I think DropIn does too. This isn't about Randy Orton. Orton is simply a pawn. Its about Triple H. Its about the McMahons. They are carrying the ball as top heels right now. Its not necessary for Orton to be good on the mic or anything. Its about the McMahons being in control, being good on the mic, dictating what will happen and when. Orton could fail a drug test tomorrow and the McMahons could pick a different champ to be in their corner.

The story arc is Bryan against the McMahon family and this should run at least to the Royal Rumble and if they were smart at least until Mania.

To expand upon this, and you may also disagree, I think Orton is a very good wrestler. He rarely has bad matches in ppv events. Actually has been one of the better workers over the last few months on RAW. I think his character blows, but I just don't know how important that is for this story right now.

I'm actually watching Smackdown live right now because of how much I enjoyed their current major arc. Surprised this show is opening with Orton and Bryan. Maybe they are going to try and start treating Smackdown like they did in the attitude era. Where shit actually goes down...

I am as well. The Smackdown contract is up soon. Standard operating procedure. Give it attention for a bigger deal, and proceed to make Rey Mysterio the brand champion.

Both of them are very solid workers. Christian just has no...well, charisma. His character is boring. I'm not even for sure what it is. He's a dude.

Ricardo is one weird looking dude.

Its absolutely ridiculous - even for wrestling - that Big Show's finisher is a punch. Closed fists have been illegal since the inception of the sport.

Do you have a clue how fucking pissed off Jesse Venture would be commentating on that finisher?

Primo and Epico get a drunk valet and they end up with the let's repackage Chico Santana gimmick? 3MB must be getting their walking papers.

From what I watched - that was a pretty entertaining episode of SMackDown. Daniel Bryan's knee lift finisher is brutal. Love it.

I would like to hear Bernstein's opinion on the new Ryback gimmick.
