Sure. There's that possible side of it. Maybe he simply offered a producer $100 for a move. Which might be less expensive for Spiegs than hiring a moving company. Maybe the kid gladly accepted cuz he could use the $100.

I'm just reporting that Joe O and his producer were indignant about it. From their perspective, they were clearly put off that a host would ask this of a producer. As fellow producers, they were sticking up for a brother. Cuz producers look out for each other, God Damnit!!!! They fight against their oppressive talk show hosts for whom they are slaves!!!! Or something like that. Who the hell knows.

Don't shoot me. I'm just the messenger.

Nope. Just like your friend asking you to help him move can't literally force you to help him move--but once that friend asks, it puts you in the difficult
position of having to say 'No' and disappointing them. They asked you likely expecting a positive response.

Now put that in context of a fraternal studio environment (or at least aspirationally fraternal) and someone in Meatpants position initiating asking
a producer to help move is likely doing so both as a pseudo "friend" and as a co-worker. Now you're in an even worse position if you say 'No' than if one of
your regular friends asks for help moving.

Feelings for Joe O aside.... the princess making the producers move his shit is busch league considering how he treats them. I am thinking Mac would have paid them, gotten them fed well, drunk...etc. The candyman probably just said don't be late to work tomorrow part timer.

Rogue, I kinda disagree on the producers.

He obviously doesnt mind being a dick and has no problem using whatever power he does have to fuck with interns or whoever.

I mean, its not mandatory, but do you want your boss hating you?

I wouldn't go that far as it being a boss / employee relationship . If it were Mac maybe I could see it. No way does Candy even approach the level of respect that I'm sure the producers give Mac. I could see if it were maybe an intern not wanting to rock the boat and going along with it but Finfer? Shep? Zawzer? I would think those guys wouldn't have much a problem telling Meat no with no fear of repercussions . Really what can he do to them? It's Mac's show through and through. Maybe Finfer could provide some insight on this.
