That was years ago, Kid, years ago. I bet Mac thought he would have at least a shot at afternoons back then, not so much.

Interestingly enough I still am sort of in Meats corner when it comes to hosts. He is prepared, (when he bothers showing up) can add something to the conversation and he actually watches sports. He can also drive a show. But he has many negatives, some of which can tank a show or segment. Meat is truly a dichotomy, a mystery man, if you will.

I tried but going to have to check out at 9:12. Speigel coming out with an onslaught of smarmy condescending bitchiness.

He is just the worst.

When he shows up prepared though like on Monday he struts into the studio on his high horse acting like a god damn know it all that is on top of the cutting edge of all information because he spent some time preparing. Once you see it you can't un-see it. Everything he does is polarizing and stands out. He simply can not be "one of the guys". He very rarely blends into the scenery like most of the other hosts can. The only other host that is kinda like that is Laurence but most of his schtick doesn't annoy me.
