I had a geography teacher who always said "Westrin" and "Eastrin." What an annoying affectation.

Jagwire was the worst for me, but vetrin has surpassed it. Someday I'll hear a broadcaster talk about a vetrin Jagwire and I'll probably shoot the TV.

Props to both Hub and Bernsie today for properly saying veteran. I've heard Trestman say it properly too. I think it was an Emery sound clip this morning that set me off.




I know people who say this. Where did they learn that? It's almost embarrassing to hear it. I don't correct them though. I guess I'm part of the problem since I'm not part of the solution.

My girlfriend's stepfather says K-Mark instead of K-Mart.

Also says Konoko instead of Konerko.
