I know this board exists to break down every annoying thing with sports radio....and so you're going to get a lot of negative stuff, by nature....but I'm wondering why people still listen to this show?

Dan annoys me. According to him, that's why we listen. There's truth there, but man it seems like he could toggle it just a bit and really be a great radio host. The antagonistic relationship he has with the Chicago sports fan / station listener / station caller is so obnoxious.

Terry is a lazy parrot. But he can be funny. He can, and does, still fire off quips and say things that most people on the air never would. Sure he jacks Letterman's schtick quite a bit, but he's a unique voice.

The point of this post really comes from days where they aren't on-air together. Terry with drink or Dan with Rozner....still 1/2 of the show is there, but it tends to shine a light on why exactly you listen.

For me, I think it's the combination of these two guys. While Dan being there with Terry results in Boers blindly parroting whatever it is Dan is saying, and that's annoying, I think I still listen BECAUSE of their dynamic.....annoyances and all.

How say you?

I still think they are 2 of the funniest guys I ever listened to. Maybe Dahl & Meir comes first,maybe not. Yes,Dan is annoying but also seems very intelligent. Terry with all his weird noises,etc. still can crack me up. I really like both guys and I really hate the "white people suck" crap they usually cling on to. The other thing is beating a dead "Larry" horse. Move on,Pen State is ova'!

The "Chicago" Eddy Shwartz stuff they used to do had me cracking up really bad...THAT I do remember.

i like sports, i dont like meatball sports talk, they usually have a good mix of sports and weird that no other show in the city does.

I'm with you, Harry (by cracky) they're good together even though they're not what they once were. Still better than anything else I've heard on sports radio.

I really don't too much anymore due to work. They wouldn't let us listen to any online streaming anymore on work computers, but they didn't mention other sites.

I'm fine with them when it comes to sports discussion. When there is substantive sports news, I have made the show appointment radio (Bears/Bulls free agency; playoffs; etc.) That being said, I haven't tuned in on a regular basis since June because I'm not a baseball guy. However when Dan isn't around to discuss sports news/topics during the NBA and NFL seasons, I usually head over to 1000.

I listen because of habit. I enjoy Terry more than Dan. Beerstain drives me away from the show more than Terry. Dan can be funny. He does some great impressions. He can also get you to think differently about events and personalities in the sports world. But he annoys me with his corporate stooge behavior, fake liberalism and tendency to speak of mundane life events like they are transcendental experiences. He also has a weird complex about large athletic black men that is creepier than anything Terry has said.

Teary + Dan = 7.5 +/-! depending on the issues.
Dan = 5.5 Will listen, but gets old quick.
Dan+Matty = 6 Was a good listen the other day. Could get better but liked it.
Dan+Rosner=7 Its a good show with Rosner
Dan=Leary = Click. Bad bad bad. Never make it more than 15 minutes with Leary on a show. OKC can correct me on what he called him, but I am going to paraphrase until correction noted as a "Fake Ass Bitch" which I agree with on many levels.

I stopped listening to the show regularly at the end of March. The tenor of the show had been changing for some time, and it got to the point where it wasn't fun for me anymore.
