Brian's Song - "I love Brian Piccolo..."

Rudy - "This is the most beautiful sight these eyes have ever seen" (dad walking out of tunnel to see the field)

I am Sam - wept most of the movie. i watched it at about 2 in the morning on my couch. my wife and daughter were upstairs sleeping. the movie just made me think about how awful it would be if someone took my daughter away from me. the montage of sean penn doing stuff with his daughter choked me up quite a bit. (fyi, i'm not retarded)

E.T. - Yeah, i was 8 years old, but that counts

Forrest Gump - When Gump found out that Forrest Jr was his, unable to spit out 'is he normal?'

2005 Chicago White Sox: World Series, Game 4 - Rooney's Uribe call at the wall and final out are great!

I'll add one.
Flight 93 - when the passangers start calling their families to say good bye.
It made me remeber how sick I felt on 9/11.

Raising Arizona-When Gale and Evelle decide to rename Nathan Jr. as Gale Jr. It doesn't get any more tearjerking than that.

I cried at that too. Other sports stories that make me cry are the Pee Wee Reese/Jackie Robinson story and the dude that blew out his hamstring in the 88 Olympics and his dad helped him to the finish line.

In the movie 'Castaway' with Tom Hanks.I wept when he lost 'Wilson' the vollyball at sea and also when he came back to see his fiance and she had already married.

Boyz in the Hood used to get me. I don't like to watch Higher Learning either when it gets to that point.

Ok, I'm sorry, but....

The Patriot when a very young Dakota Fanning breaks her vow of silence and exlaims to her father, Mel Gibson, that she will "say anything you want me to say" if he just agrees to not fight the Brits.

Basically anything that involves a father and his child makes me a babbling idiot.

Add Simon Birch to the list. Watched it for the first time this weekend...very good film.

Also, since we watched this, I saw Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind and that one got me, too. I don't think that it received a lot of fanfare, but I thought it was excellent.

Here are a few for the list:

World Trade Center - when they got the volunteers and started heading for the buildings
Braveheart - Wallace! Wallace! Wallace!
Meet Joe Black - Anthony Hopkins' monologue to his daughter at the end of the party sounded like something my grandfather (who passed away shortly before this movie came out) would say to me.
Rudy - when he hits the field and after he sacks the QB

Seabiscuit - When Charles Howard's son died in his arms on the porch - that got me. Also the father/son relationship of Howard and Pollard is pretty intense.

Armageddon - When Bruce Willis pushes Ben Affleck back into the spaceship and tells him he has to take care of his little girl.

Eternal Sunshine is one of my faves so I think more people have seen it than ithought as well.

Rudy always always gets me

The one I can remember from way back was Homeward Bound. The movie about the dogs that are trying to make it home. i cried hard when the kids dog didn't come over the hill.
