That's right. I said it.

Average of 23,000 a game for a 90+ loss team is pretty damn good.

What was it last year? Probably about the same for a team in 1st all year.

So last year was bad. This year was good.

the effects of losing are felt for years after. Lot of tickets were already bought before the disaster unfolded.

Here's the Sox attendance for their entire history. Like I said, with this being the worst Sox season in a couple of decades, not bad at all. The '98 and '99 seasons were really bad.

Sox need to go 6-18 the rest of the way to lose 100.

7 years and counting of falling attendance with no relief anticipated next year.

Except for a couple outliers attendance looks pretty steady since the arrival of Big Hurt. So why does everyone bitch every year? Us fans comparing ourselves to the Cubs since 84ish? Or Cub fans always bringing it up like we do the no WS streak?

Spoke a little too soon on it being 23k. These final 8 to 10 games are gonna bring down the final average. Still won't drop below 20k I wouldn't think. That's still decent for this garbage team.

Was at the game last night; they were lucky if there were 10K there. Got seats ten rows behind the Sox dugout for less than $20 apiece from StubHub.

Fun game to watch, at least, even if the vendors were at their bitchy and whiny worst, and were a constant fucking distraction falling over each other begging for business.

Is there anywhere to get a last minute deal on some of those scout seats. I wouldn't mind paying $20 for $200 seats that include all you can eat/drink.

Had a company party at the game today. No idea what the tickets sold number was, but butts in seats seemed like 5k. Couldn't believe how empty it was. There were entire sections with almost nobody. It was actually kind of funny on a few foul balls to watch a single guy stroll over and pick it up.

Go to craigslist. Whatever the posted price, make an offer for $20. I would think somebody would accept.

Here you go, GD. I was curious myself. These guys are still a little high but they encourage you to make them an offer if you don't like their price. They really just want to get rid of them and get what they can. Just looking at the last few games, a lot of those scout seat owners ended up eating them.
