If you are spending money to have these guys give wall to wall coverage get them phones that don't sound like they are calling from a submarine in the Pacific. Biggs, Brown, DiNardo, etc. are all several decibels below the in studio people so you have to turn your audio up and down just to hear a response to a question.

Ken Rosenthal on B&B is the worst. He has a brutal phone and he also doesn't seem to take the time to find a quiet place. It's obnoxious.

I've always thought this to be the way WSCR engineers their sound. One host (particularly when the other is on ISDN) sounds louder (hotter?) that the other. Guests come in with a lesser sound, and callers even less. Ever note when a caller is getting the edge on a host that their sound will be lessened, sometimes forcing them to shout?

The first 30 minutes of M&H and M&S are hard to hear in the car with the windows down, or in the office cubicle. Both have hosts who yell.
