Actually, I don't think it's Dave Thomss' son. I believe the way bernstein wrote it, Thomas was on the Duke board but bernstein's roommate was the son of the guy who was Wendy's CEO at the time.

I can't figure the HOF guy. Seth Davis didn't play. He probably isn't a HOF broadcaster anyway. The coulmn seems to suggest the guy was an NBA player who now broadcasts and must be prominent.

Three Things I took away from this:

1. A new and more improved appreciation for the career disillusionment that lawyers turned Artisanal craft brewmasters must experience. To their credit the byproduct truly tastes better.
   
2. Borrowing and extending on the above, a character morph of Bernstein and Mike North is a screenplay that could be parlayed into a Mitch Albom status movie. "Afternoons with Terry -- Things I learned and forgot on the other end of an ISDN line."
   
3. I have to wonder what a similar cloudy-hazey cruise down memory lane would be like the for many who came across this jilted Coach K taint-sniffer back in the dorms. Short, Jew-looking wigger, idolizing Chuck D while bogarting the joint. Too smart to be a sports agent but now happy to piss on any aspect of the world of sports that he once zealously embraced.

I now hold Jay Bilas in even higher esteem, Danny Ferry not-so-much.
