The only way I upgrade is if sometime in the near future I have to get CUBS TV.
I pay 87 bucks a month through WOW cable. Internet,cable with one VCR and one cable box. Price won't go up until 2015.

I didn't get to watch. How was it? Was it as bad as last season's premiere?

Personally, I think the series should have ended with Season 7's Class Reunion episode. They're running on fumes now.

Yeah, you need to revisit the entire series from Season 1. If you're up on Sunday nights, channel 50 shows two episodes starting at 10pm.

this show has possibly the greatest pilot episode i've ever seen in a sitcom. "the gang gets racist" is possibly their smartest written episode. great way to start the series.

i haven't collected any of the dvds since 6...eventually i'll probably get them all but i don't think i'm missing much right now. i don't have cable anymore so i don't have the channel.

I thought the end payoff was obvious but rather amusing. Still not as good as the old ones. I still love "The Nightman Cometh"

After seeing the first two episodes, I have the show's record at 1-1.

The Gang Broke Dee was a VERY well-written and deep story. Probably better than anything they did last year.

In contrast, Gun Fever Too: Still Hot was abysmal. A horrible letdown after such a solid premiere.

Hopefully they'll recover in Week 3.

i'm glad you mention the writing, kid, because that's an underrated thing they do very well and i don't think they've won any awards for it. i don't have cable so i can't watch this season but i see what you're saying. sometimes they just take episodes off it seems.

but when the writing is tight, like "underage drinking: a national concern", "mac and dennis break up", and of course "the gang gets racist", it's up there with some of the best sitcom writing of all time. and they never really get credit for that.

It was, and the third episode was one of the worst things they have done.
It was a lazy premise and lazy writing to allow Charlie to sing and play the piano. Didn't make sense with the Charlie character.

The 3rd one in itself sucked. It had potential but was pretty bad and just faded into nothing. It could be setting up some future episodes though with the characters.

I have this season's current record at 1-2. Episode 3 wasn't the worst I've seen, but certainly lackluster. Right on par with most of last season.

I finally watched it. I hadn't laughed this hard at a new episode since Season 7. Definitely my favorite in a long time. There need to be more episodes centered around Mac's tough guy insecurity.
