i didnt take any offense to it, i know the truth is i havent spent a dime on that stuff in 6 months. no room in the budget for that when youre trying to start a product line. i thought it was nice of okc to stick up for a bro though. i just wont be fighting any good battles here because i know how some perceive me, and that is because of the way i have intended to be perceived. it does take intelligence to see through the silliness though

after doing some patent searching, contrary to what i had previously thought, i might actually be able to patent a couple points to my light. the diode layout doesnt seem to be patented yet... so i am working on a provisional patent right now. wish me luck. if it gets accepted, i already have a finished product so things should take off very quickly...

Another thing to consider is getting UL certification or equivalent. It might be hard to get stores to place orders for a mains-powered device that hasn't been UL-approved. And some insurance policies won't cover any damage that may occur. (Chances are there's no issue with your product, but it may be something to think about.)

i am in the processes of getting a video done, with comparisons to other lights... and I will be chasing an ETL license, which is basically UL equivalent but for a cheaper cost.

right now i am working on a provisional patent. if i can get what i think i can, then this light is going straight to manufacturers. if not, then i keep it as is and just make and sell them.

either way, i do agree an ETL license will be critical, because that will allow the light to be used on any OSHA jobsite.

would it help to know 2 of my suppliers are in chicago? more then half the parts i use are made in usa as well. i legally can call it a 'made in usa' product.
