Hunter will be returning to the main event. Book it.

[img]WWE has released its key performance indicators for August 2013, and the report notes that this year's SummerSlam PPV, which featured a main event of John Cena vs Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title, took in an average of 298,000 worldwide buys, which is down significantly from last year's average of 350,000 buys for an event headlined by Brock Lesnar vs Triple H.

As we noted before, this year's Money in the Bank PPV, which took place in July, averaged 192,000 buys.[/img]

HHH vs Daniel Bryan could be awesome but its too early. Save that for mania 2015. There is so much more time to build this thing.

Oh I completely agree. I'm just saying this will be used to put Hunter back in a main event spot. Keep in mind, I'm a HHH guy.

Conflicting Reports on Rob Van Dam's WWE Status, Backstage News on Dolph Ziggler's Future
By Marc Middleton
Sep 26, 2013 - 10:15:11 AM

- There are conflicting reports on the status of Rob Van Dam. PWInsider recently reported that RVD had 90-day blocks in his WWE contract where he would work for 90 days, take some time off and then return for another 90 days.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that RVD was buried on the September 23rd RAW because that was the internal reaction to him not signing a new contract yet. The Observer adds that RVD's contract is up on October 1st but he's scheduled to work another week or so past that.

- Regarding the plight of Dolph Ziggler, word is that officials don't believe he will ever be a guy who draws money

-It's being reported in Japan that Tensai was making $100,000 per year with New Japan Pro Wrestling and to lure him away, WWE offered $400,000. It's also being reported that WWE is trying to sign NJPW stars Karl Anderson  and Prince Devitt :D

I must have missed this yesterday.

How in the hell do "officials" think Ziggler can't be a draw?? He has a look, is technically sound, good on the mic and can get a fan reaction. They give up on him and they are pushing ryback. un...fucking...real.

They gave Ziggler like 10 seconds with the ball to see if he could draw.

Stupid.

I like a lot of what they are doing right now, but they are missing with Ziggler.

Triple H Reveals Who Was Originally Pegged for Batista's Spot In Evolution
By Marc Middleton
Sep 28, 2013 - 11:36:25 PM

- Triple H revealed in the extras of his latest DVD and Blu-ray that Mark Jindrak was originally planned to be in Evolution.

Jindrak, who now competes under the name of Marco Corleone in Mexico, filmed vignettes coming out of a helicopter with the group but he ended up being replaced by Batista. Here is a photo from the vignette

- Stephanie McMahon acknowledged her brother Shane McMahon in a Tweet on Tuesday. A fan asked her what would she do if Shane returned to WWE TV. She replied, "Depends."

- Dolph Ziggler was originally scheduled to get beatdown by Randy Orton and then destroyed by The Shield in the ten-man match on the September 23rd RAW. Things were changed and that spot went to Rob Van Dam. WWE officials put RVD through this for not signing a new contract, according to The Wrestling Observer. :bom:

- As noted before, there has been talk of giving Wade Barrett a push and re-packaging him. Apparently officials are considering bringing him back to TV with his Badnews Barrett gimmick that can be seen on The JBL & Cole Show.

Darren Young Says He Was "Terrified" To Come Out As Gay, Wanted To Take Boyfriend To WWE Events
By Daniel Pena
Oct 3, 2013 - 11:35:43 AM

As disclosed Wednesday, Darren Young opens up to People in the Oct. 14 issue about his sexuality. Quotes from the article have surfaced online and it is revealed that the WWE Superstar was terrified to come out of the closet.

“I was terrified of losing friends, losing my job, just everything,” Young said. “I had no idea what would happen if I came out.”

Young's decision to come out was not an easy one. Family and close friends found out two years ago while he was competing on WWE NXT, but he continued to live a troubling "double life."

Young explained that he was "tired of hiding" and that he "wanted to be able to take [boyfriend of two years Niccolo 'Nick' Villa] with me to WWE functions." He also wanted to be able to go out to dinner without looking over his shoulder, hold hands in public, and do other things heterosexual couples do without hesitation.

Young, who's real name is Fredrick Douglas Rosser III, went public on Aug. 15 in an impromptu airport interview with a TMZ cameraman. The WWE Superstar, however, immediately second-guessed the decision.

“It was spur of the moment, and I said what I said and I was confident. But when I left, I said to myself, "What the hell did I just do?" Young said. "I went straight to my hotel room and I was sick as a dog, throwing up and crying. I was terrified of how people would perceive me."

Despite his fears, Young was greeted with support by not only the sports-entertainment organization's management and fans, but his colleagues as well.

"His sexual orientation never had anything to do with him as a person, and at the end of the day it shouldn't matter," said tag team partner Titus O’Nell.

“They all embraced me, and that was just shocking to me. I truly love them,” Young said. “It was such a relief. I’m not hiding anymore and I’m living the dream."

- It sounds like there may be a dance-off at Sunday's WWE Battleground pay-per-view. Fandango tweeted on Thursday:

"I heard there may be a #DanceOff at #WWEBattleground. Dance with me?"

- As noted earlier this week, Dustin "Goldust" Rhodes is now working for WWE on a short-term contract. The feeling within WWE is that he will be around through WrestleMania XXX. It's possible they may finally do the Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust match that both sides have wanted to do for at least two years now.

I believe every bit of this story. While I can't place it now, I remember hearing Dusty speak a few times regarding Stephanie. He seemed to have hidden contempt. Also, Dusty knows how creative works. This wasn't an old wrestler rambling. He knew he was getting buried, knew he could cover it up, and worked her. Dusty may love hiss boyyys, but Dusty, don't love nobody, like he love hiiiim some Dusty.

Dave Meltzer noted on the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that there is backstage heat on Dusty Rhodes for his segment on RAW this past Monday night. Meltzer said that Stephanie McMahon was upset with Dusty for facepalming her during their segment.
"The facepalm thing (on Stephanie), a lot of people were happy with it, but she was not," Melter said.

Meltzer added that Stephanie was supposed to bury Dusty during his segment on RAW a couple of weeks ago, but Dusty kept interrupting and talking when he was supposed to be quiet.

Go Dusty!! I thought something might have been up because Stephanie seemed a little rattled. Th Dream knows whats up and it was better his way. He should be around more often to talk some shit and so we can hear the best entrance in the biz.

This seems dumb to me. They should've just had RVD win last night, and then during/after the rematch tonight, Sandow should've given RVD a massive beatdown, in addition to winning the title.

The way RVD was/is so over, would have garnered Sandow tremendous heat and would've been an excellent way to start his title run.

This would have been excellent. If you know you're screwing over your PPV consumer for the second month in a row, shouldn't they do something?

I do fail to consider it because it's bad. You are correct that he's back in Vince's good graces, but I'm correct that he sucks and has zero crowd connection.

Sure would be nice if they could include African Americans in that equation as well. I wonder why the Hispanic brand is that much more important than the African American brand? Are there some concrete statistics, train of thoughts, that clearly support the E's line of thinking in this whole regard.

It's very odd to me.

If only the E did tours of a country of Africans...

And I didn't fail to consider that they like the belt around him. It probably wouldn't be on him if they weren't comfortable with that. Jerk. :P

But why not use RVD's unprecedented and wholly unexpected fantastic 3 month run, to catapult a run by Sandow? The crowd would've ate that shit up. (RVD winning last night) And then Sandow coming out during/after the rematch tonight and destroying RVD as well as winning the title, would've created MASSIVE heat on Sandow, and also would've explained RVD's impending leave.

As I said in the Rant™, I doubt they want Sandow carry around the briefcase anytime around Rumble/Mania. So if you're going to do something with him - which they sort of have to do since he has the briefcase, then now would seem like the time.

It's just a win/win for everybody. Explains RVD, gives Sandow massive heat/momentum, and gives ADR some much needed rest and time off from the belt responsibilities, and maybe get himself re-packaged so that he doesn't suck so damn much.

Plus now they got the Matadores running around with the bull, and jumpy flippy LCW is lingering right around the corner I believe.

It's the perfect time to do this. Plus Sandow kind of looks Mexican anyways. :P

I'm totally in your guys corner. I'm just telling you from their perspective they love the Latino demographic. Its one of their most important demos. They are an extremely loyal demo to their brand, a demo that continue to grow in the states, and one they have numbers that support a growth in revenue.

Myself? I've always thought the best storylines are what drive ratings and thus drive revenue. They've got a lot of people in that office that are looking at numbers, demo and applying analytics to that and trying to show ROI.

Backstage Update on RVD's WWE Status and His Unique Contract, Plans for His Return & More
By Marc Middleton
Oct 9, 2013 - 8:38:14 AM

- PWInsider insists that reports of Rob Van Dam not re-signing with WWE are incorrect. RVD is already under contract, as we have noted, his deal calls for him to work 90 days and then take time off, as much as he wants. Van Dam can come back whenever he wants for another 90 days of work.

This is a deal that RVD and Triple H came up with, one that was signed off on by Vince McMahon. One of the reasons for the deal is RVD has so many of his own projects going on. RVD and WWE are on good terms with a new action figure coming out soon and a possible DVD in the future.

While RVD is away from WWE, he can still work for other wrestling companies but cannot appear on any of their TV programs. Word now is that he may be gone until the Royal Rumble season. WWE creative wants him to return then and work from the Royal Rumble through Extreme Rules, which obviously is more than 90 days

just a taught say cena wins world tilte holds it till mania, and Punk/Brayan gets a hold of wwe title can you see a unifaction match at Mania :?:

Backstage Update on RVD's WWE Status and His Unique Contract, Plans for His Return & More

Never say never, but I'll say they never unify those belts again. Vince loves having the opportunity to always promote a champion at a house show or any live event.
