The. Rhodes match was not great. I'd label it fun. That was RAW for ppv price. Wow

There were some nice moments, but this was just an awful PPV overall.

It probably didn't need to exist. Every other month works. These tweener shows kinda suck.

This three month run by RVD has been one of the most pleasant surprises I can remember in some time. They overhyped his return. I will admittedly say I thought he was going to be a non-factor. He not only surpassed my expectations, but he also has brought it week in, week out on television. I'm sad to see him go after tonight. Hopefully they have something in the works to bring him back soon. Great run by RVD in this short time. Its too bad he couldn't be a bit more consistent in life.

I just got back from the Bears game. But I couldn't agree with this more. Hopefully the rest of the thread didn't suck without me. :D

Scaffold matches were f*ckin' stupid. Hard to film what's happening, and the risk of injury is too great. And then there's Corny's knees...

This was noted heavily in the Old PPV thread. Dead on Beebo.

it aped the ending from the sopranos.... i guess this is some reverse psychology from trips cuz the whole PPV i was convinced that he was the guy that the camera would be on when the show faded to black; at the end i was left thinking "what just happened? where's trips" and then it hit me...

he's a heel, jimmy boy, he's a heel.

also, big show.

as a matter of fact, that's how i'd sum up that whole ending/PPV... it was a big ole bag of nothing with a surprise helping of big show. i feel happy for that one kid in the UK who spanks it to the visage of big show on his big screen. and thx for the feedback on the rhodes match, as it was a bit oversold to me.... but maybe that's cuz they know my wrestling sensibilities.

speaking of sense and sensibility, i'm off to have an hour of PAPPY b4 the law tells me what i should officially think of this PPV. shomer shabbos, aka tubular domingo, gents!

JT BRICK FINNA BE IN THE HOUSE TONIGHT! *SIRENS* WITH THE RAIDERS KICKING OFF IN 20MIN MIKE NORTH POSITS THAT YOU MIGHT CONSIDER STAYING UP TO WATCH THE GAME, WHICH IS SOMETHING THE NFL COULD CONSIDER REGULARLY? LIGHT 'EM UP!

there's something nice and warm and fuzzy and a reminder of my carefree yout when i hear the dulcet tones of pappy on a brisk fall evening.

http://www.tsn.ca/Toronto/listen/ if you wanna join the party, or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-k4djb-7pw if you REALLY wanna party (hearty)

right here >> http://www.tsn.ca/Toronto/listen/ >> but again, you gotta join the PAPPY PARTYtil 11pm or whatever. that assumes that TSN doesn't go and pick up the late raiders game for excrements and giggles.

Show me the way. I'm ready to create. As far as calling The Law, I'll only hijack their show if I have a knowledge of the PPV.

holy shit, digital @crankyvince jesus has spoke my name and now i've made the big time! i hope you don't mind, but i've got a little speech prepared for such an occasion.

first and foremost, i'd like to thank my lord and saviour jesus christ. what can i say, big guy, you really stepped up to the plate when it came time to the whole paying for my sins thing. i'd love to take you out for dinner sometime, but i'm kind of poor so we're not really looking at anything beyond the outback steakhouse range. all glory to you, my lord, for you are the most highest*!

[[life interjects itself in the form of mike north yelling SUKI SUKI and talking about the overs/unders he hit on the 49ers game tonight. there's still time to get on pappy's lock of oakland+6 tonight! remember, this is only for the dissemination of information in the form of news!]]

i'd also like to thank terry richardson for taking all of those dirty pictures with models/celebrities, my dog walton (named after 1989 NL ROY jerome walton) for not shitting on the floor for the last 3 months, and i'd also like to thank marques colston for those 1.5 huge points in this week's likely blowout loss over in my flagship league.

but most of all, i'd like to thank the man.... the myth.... the legend that is THE GAME TRIPLE H. i got out of wrestling around the time that he showed up.... i was more of a WCW guy after bash @ the beach, and i didn't get back into the WWE until ~2010-11, so i effectively missed the entriety of his career. however, since i've come back i've been blessed and fortunate to be able to behold even the faint glimmers of the intradimensional excellence beaming from the perfection of the human form that is paul "hunter hearst helmsley" levesque. it's so easy to merely give him credit for being a competent CEO/whatever and doing his part behind the scenes in getting talent to the company; but you have to challenge yourself to look past that and remember that THIS MAN GIVES UP SO MUCH JUST TO GIVE US A LITTLE BIT. did you read that grantland piece? IT TAKES HIM WEEKS UPON WEEKS OF IMMENSE TRAINING JUST SO HE CAN GET IN THE RING AND GIVE US WHAT WE NEED. it must be torture for the guy to hear the masses endlessly beating the drum demanding his triumphant return to the ring. i've grown to realize that to many it's just not a proper day in the WWE universe if triple H isn't holding one of the top straps. the WWE is ultimately in the business of giving us what we want, and the indefatigable reactions from the crowds who get their fix of trips should always be enough to remind them "yeah that whole program is fine and good..... but what does this mean for THE GAME TRIPLE H?"

it'll be hard to forgive him for depriving me of his otherworldly presence tonight, however, i'm convinced that someday we'll learn the truth about this wonderful epoch of heeldom that busts through the 4th wall like a man on PCP and deposits itself right on our laps with a seductive look saying "sup?" --- this is all for the greater good. it's what's best for business. i get that. i know that come tomorrow the focus of the WWE universe will be back where it belongs, upon HHH's watchful glare. without cena here to be the proverbial sun to the WWE galaxy, the WWE was left scrambling in a position where they could only help but wonder "what will we do without cena?!!? surely we can't give the fans what they want in the form of daniel bryan....he's daniel bryan for chrissakes... we had to have an egotrip with the guy and literally make him say his name backwards just to have a crack at the big leagues. we'll make him job in under 10 seconds @ his first mania match..... damn strizzy, it aint about that bearded freakshow.... it's about what it's always been about, THE GAME TRIPLE H. someday we'll tell our grandkids about the history of the WWE and reminisce fondly about this era where HHH passed the torch to cena for a ~8 year run, only to return like the prodigal son-in-law and retain his rightful place above all of the other wrestlers in the company, strapped to the hilt with every form of shiny golden validation imaginable in the WWE universe! and then we can sell more DVDs about him, only to make the dumbass marks buy another one 5-10 years down the road after HHH's legendary 3.5 year run with the WWE championship! it's only fitting for the greatest wrestler in the history of professional wrestling!

so thank you, sir woodridge.... you're a good man and thorough, mister lebowski!

PAPPY JAMMIN OUT TO BELINDA CARLISLE?!? EDDIE MONEY? YES IT'S EDDIE MONEY!!! ROCK ON GARTH!

EDIT: whoops, * = except for IkeSouth, as even the most high ain't gettin shit like that! shomer shabbos!
