Williams is likely out for the year.

Not a meatball thought and I know Urlacher isn't great anymore. Bostic would play on 3rd down passing situations.

Just saying you need a body and Urlacher might be the best option.

Thing is, Urlacher said he hated Emery. So Emery would have to swallow his pride to bring him back.

You bring him in now, he misses the Redskins game. Then there is a bye. So he'll have 3 weeks to get into decent playing shape. Calls are the same as Lovie's system so he doesn't need to learn the system like another guy would.

If there is a better middle LB on the street, fine, get that guy. I just don't know of any. This might be the best option.

Where did he say he hated Emery?

Urlacher is done. Play McClellin at LB and find SomeGuy to add to the d-line.

He said there are two guys in the Bears organization that he doesn't like. Safe to say one is Emery. The other guy is probably Cutler.

What happened to that Hawaiian guy they had that also was good on special teams a few years ago?

DE,

Havent seen him, but I know he is big into stretching, running, etc and guessing he might have dropped some weight, making him not even close to football shape.

Otherwise, I am OK with it.

As meatballish as it sounds, they are just going to call another guy who is doing nothing.

Right. That's my point. He's simply the best option. At least he knows how to be in the right gap even though he's slower.

Sure, why not ring up Urlacher, ask him if he still has Jenny McCarthy's phone number, oh, and if he knows anybody capable of playing linebacker for the Bears.

Bernstein just addressed this thread. Said don't even think about bringing back Urlacher--which likely means Urlacher's on his way back to the Bears, given Bernstein's predictive history.

He didn't make the Pro Bowl.

Bring Hampton back. He'd be more effective than the ends we (they) have now.

He's the proverbial cream of the class if you will of 50 year olds with no knees.

Hamp could bust out some of his Arkansas witticisms. The O-Lineman would double over with laughter, allowing McClellin to run all the way around them and narrowly miss the sack.
