It doesn't really matter. Some people like to use GoDaddy for everything and other people use GoDaddy for the domain and a different site for the hosting. Not sure what your website is for, but it's pretty hard to direct people to a website and to use all the bandwidth that they now offer.

To buy a domain name, godaddy is good. Just be sure to get a coupon code so you can basically get a new one for free. Google "godaddy coupon code" and you'll see all sorts of different options. Just be careful about auto-renew on the domain as it will be the full price and you should never pay full price on anything at godaddy. For hosting, if you just want a template site then you can probably just stick with them. You'll have the same look as thousands of other websites but it can be good to get your name, address, and basic services out there.

If you really want to get into a lot of content, or search engine rankings, or advertising you probably want to find someone who can help you out with that kind of stuff. However, to get started, godaddy should be good enough.

Buying godaddy is putting money into danicas fat ass. Why give money to a worthless human being.

I got a domain with namecheap and one with register.com. both are good. I use bigcartel.com for my host, very simple and decent price for a nice looking site.
