I don't have issues with them now. Ask me in 3 or 4 years though. I didn't allow them to even wear fingernail polish for a while or even put vaseline on their lips let alone some lip gloss. They can use chapstick and fingernail polish now even though I hate the smell. I had witnessed so many little girls acting as if they were adults and the women thought this was cute.

This is the problem I have with my ex. She is re-living her highschool years through my daughter and promoting the skimpy clothing. She takes her to a salon to get her nails and hair done and let her buy 300.00 hair extentions at 14. Not much I can do and it drives me crazy.

I completely understand. I would also drive me crazy. Let them be a kid. They'll be adults for the majority of their lives.

Reevaluate your life maybe?

A girl I went to high school with, one from a perfectly middle-class family who married a guy from another perfectly middle-class family, posted a picture of her baby sleeping captioned with "I can't imagine what Adrian Peterson is going through." I don't know why, but something about this irritates me.

This sad story just gets sadder.

We've already told you the tragic news of Adrian Peterson losing his two-year-old son after an alleged assault from the child's mother's boyfriend. But now we hear that there is even more tragedy to this story.

While Adrian has another young son, Adrian Jr., who is alive and well; he recently found out that he had this second young son.

The child's mother reportedly believed another man was the child's father and was pursuing a paternity matter with him. However, upon finding out that he was not the father, she allegedly turned to Adrian as he was also possibly the father.

We hear that Adrian stepped up and asked how he could help her out. Sadly, he was even allegedly planning a trip to South Dakota to meet the child. He ended up making the trip much sooner than expected because of the horrible attack.

As a result, his first meeting with his son was supposedly while the young child was in the hospital in critical condition.

We can't imagine going through something this horrible. Our thoughts are with Adrian and the young boy's loved ones during this difficult time.

You know a pretty good amount about who I am, do you think I need to reevaluate my life or that I'm not sensitive about tragedy involving children?

Or is it more like I'm a normal (relatively) person who is just so numb to the evils we see every day that I react by distancing myself from the pain via joking?

Anyway, I regret the joke. Not because I think its wrong to joke about tragedy but it really wasn't worth it. Oh well.

ok ill just come right out and say it. adrien peterson doesnt give a fuck about his dead kid

watch the videos. read the articles and what he sayd. pay attention to what he does. dead kid? he barely even knew him anyway, and he has who knows how many other kids out there.

http://www.foxsportsnorth.com/fox-sport ... eedID=5930

just like he says- all he wants to do is focus on football. domestic violence takes a backseat, especially when its your own kid that gets beaten to death.

I want to hear those who are against the death penalty make a case for allowing this piece of shit to live. Anyone? Bueller?

I'll play.

I am against the death penalty. That doesn't change on a case-by-case basis.

The role of the justice system isn't to enact vengeance. Which is all the death penalty is. It is vengeance.

Every life has inalienable value and the potential for redemption.

There, that wasn't so difficult.

I agree that taking lives shouldn't be something we do as a society. That said, I think he deserves it and I think he'll get it by the hand of the other prisoners.

That's messed up.

I don't understand the mindset of parents wanting to rush their children out of childhood.

Every day when I got home from work, our 7 year old boy used to ask me to chase him to his room and tickle him. He told me that he doesn't like doing that too much anymore. Really bummed me out.

Just like the life of a 2 yr old beaten to death by an adult male. I agree, he needs to be rehabilitated and shown that what he did was wrong and come out a better person.

What if someone made a joke about something like this happening to your daughter and than came back and said they didn't really feel it was wrong because shit like this happens all the time and they are numb to it? Is it OK for you to say it because he's a celebrity so therefore it doesn't effect you personally? If you're really that numb to child abuse than yeah you might want to look in the mirror and try and find the reason why this doesn't piss you off to the point you want to get revenge yourself. I'd rather live my life where I can still have emotions to the good and bad things that happen in this fucked up world than just be numb to it and try and make jokes about it.

I wouldn't care what anyone said at that point.

But I certainly understand how some people use jokes to deal with tragedy.

The fact that I'm far removed from the subject is part of it. Doesn't have to be a celebrity.

Its not being numb to chid abuse. Its being numb to tragedy hapenning to strangers.

Any sort of child abuse is heinous and should be punishable by violent death.

I'd enjoy beating the guy to death with a hammer

I'd figure that /\ would be assumed. Guess not

No, I just don't get all broken up about the thousands of tragedies that happen daily to people I don't know.

You don't have to be all broken up about it. You can show that you're a decent human being by not trying to make jokes about it right away though.

If proven in a court of law, I have no problem if that is the verdict.

But I (and many others) don't think that makes me indecent.

I think my words and actions in general equal more than a decent human being and no joke or message board post could change that.

I'm sorry if your opinion of me has been changed. It is what it is I suppose.

Eye for an eye. I think some said that in the Bible or maybe it was Steven Seagal.

I thought that was the code of Hammurabi (Babylonian law) not Biblical.

Question: "What does the Bible mean by 'an eye for an eye'?"

Answer: “Eye for eye, tooth for tooth” was spoken by God as a figurative command in the Old Testament (Exodus 21:24, Leviticus 24:20; Deuteronomy 19:21) and was never intended to be taken literally. Instead it means is that secular justice is to be equitable, neither excessively harsh nor excessively lenient. In this connection there is no reference in Scripture to the maiming of a Hebrew in conformance with “eye for eye, tooth for tooth.” Also, before God first spoke this, He established a judicial system to hear claims and determine penalties (Exodus 18:13-26), and that system would not have been necessary if simple “eye for eye” retribution were proper and adequate. Moreover, most actual claims and harms in the Old Testament, except those requiring capital punishment, were settled by payment in goods.
