Baseball America is doing a series of naming the Top 20 Prospects in each minor league. They just posted the Northwest League.The Cubs had 6 of the Top 20. The orgs and their Top 20 in () in this league are Seattle (4). Toronto (2), Texas (2), Colorado (1), San Francisco (1), Arizona (3), San Diego (1) and Chicago Cubs(6).

It was from rounding the bases all those times.

I think you can get burned out by too much ball but I think the Arizona league is a short season,I'm not sure.

Can you imagine the way the press would take apart a White Sox guy- say Jared Mitchell- if he said he was too tired to go to Arizona? Not to mention the way Hahn or Kenny would be questioned for not having control.

40 less strikeouts, Slugging 570 and half the year was in AA ball

Jared Mitchell The sooner they cut him the sooner they can start shedding the image of Kenny wanting to draft football players that suck at baseball. I think he is old enough to be a FA and go his own way now anyways.

I don't know if it's a good year or not. I certainly don't think he will strike out less as he moves up the ladder.

Probably. Too big of an arm and a frame to waste at 2nd. I think he would do well at 3rd if he can harness his arm and throw more accurately.

So one team is more and two other teams equally stocked with minor league talent as the cubs top minor league talent location?

How could those Dodgers, Reds and Rays possibly have made the playoffs at the MLB level while still having a stocked minor system? That just isn't possible!

This rebuild appears to be a tad overrated.

Bryant was named AFL co-player of the week after tearing it up during his teams first 5 games.

Patterson was selected by the Chicago Cubs as the third overall pick in the 1998 Major League Baseball Draft. because the rankings are regularly cited as evidence of the underlying premise about the strength of the farm system.

I thought he just cut and pasted the top Sox prospects listed in the recent rankings of each league. It's not like he wrote any opinion or thoughts. Just straight cut and paste.
