Snuggery. I had two mozzarella sticks and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. Both were very good.

I had to stop eating the Philly's Best cheesesteak because of the heartburn. Tasted good going down usually. The belly fought back.

Yesterday I was deperate for some food and went to Taco Bell to try a couple of the new "Firey" supreme
Dorito tacos. They were really spicy for sure but about 10 minutes later they really didn't sit well in my
stomach. I don't think I will be going to Taco Bell again for a long time.

Ended up at Burger King for lunch today. None of their new sandwiches looked that great to me. They
had a shredded pork as well as their own version of a rib sandwich. Just went with a regular Whopper.
Anyway, I had been seeing all the hype over their new "healthier" Satisfries. I decided to get those.
Apparently they still sell the usual fries and for a small upcharge you can get the new fries. I thought
that was some bullshit there but it was only like a quarter so I figured I'd try them. Actually thought
that they were pretty good. Big crinkle fries are some of my favorite.

$8 for the value meal. I thought it could use a little more meat but overall very tasty.

Some Bertolli frozen thing with tortellini and marinara sauce. It's not bad and it only cost me 3 bucks.

Dammit. The curly fries should have been a dead giveaway. I still stand by my statement, though.

 Sadly, you aren't too far off. I have tried to curtail my fast food to once a week
and can usually stick to that. I need to stop all together as I have been hitting the gym
lately but I won't be seeing any results unless I go to a grocery store and buy food there
like normal people. I hadn't had Arby's in a very long time and gave it a shot. Comes
with cheese, onion rings and BBQ sauce and I added some Tabasco. Best sandwich I've
had in a while.

when a fast food meal gets to 8$ you can probably omit the "value" part of it

When a fast food place is serving brisket, you can probably omit the "meal" part of it.

Yeah, Arby's is pretty high priced for fast food. I seriously thought it was good for a quick sandwich. I am not
a meat grilling/smoking expert like some here but found it better than the standard burger or chicken sandwich.

i'll give them credit for being ambitious, it's a better effort than the BK French Fry burger

and the few people i know who have tried have said it's pretty solid
but yeah, you can get a brisket sandwich from a real BBQ place for the same price, so why would you other than the convenience factor

I'm waiting for the Subway Doritos sandwich. So much easier if they were to do the work for me.

New pierogi place opened up recently in Elk Grove Village. E.J. Pierogi, Oakton and Busse.

First time stopping in, got some meat and got some potato. Pretty damn tasty.

They have 10 different 'flavors' of pierogi, as well as other standard polish fare. Not a huge menu, since the focus is on the pierogi. But I also saw blintzes, goulash, dumpings, polish sausage, and a few more items.

I discovered the best sandwich I have ever had yesterday. It was the pork shoulder carnitas at a place called Cookies & Carnitas on Broadway and Ardmore in the building where Barry's Spot Pizza used to be. Real good meatball sandwich too. Awesome homemade cookies. This place is the real deal. I recommend it to anyone.

That place looks good. I'll have to check it out the next time I'm in the northern hinterlands. I'm surprised I don't know it. That used to be my region when I was selling room additions and I helped build the Express 41 Car Wash and Oil Change near there.

The Shanty is great & has been on numerous TV cooking shows including Diners drive ins & dives. Its the kind of dumpy local joint that there aren't enough of in the suburbs.

You sold room additions? I probably slammed the door in your face years ago when you just happened to be in the area & weren't trying to sell me anything.

Add a little gusto to your day with Wendy's new Tuscan Chicken Sandwich on Ciabatta. Go for the gusto with our lightly breaded chicken, rich garlic with roasted tomato aioli and sliced asiago cheese, on a toasted ciabatta bun

I thought this sandwich was actually really damn good. I got it with the spicy chicken breast and it was
just what the doctor ordered for lunch today.

Their entire menu is pretty tasty, although it is a pretty tiny menu.

I just went with a burger today.
