What are the forced narratives, strawmen, and logical fallacies for today's show?

Jacking off over the GM survey will cover a few hours I assume.

It's difficult at the international level. Darko Miliic was also highly regarded.

Is Dan going to rip them to shreds for listing out the five positions?

"Okay, Terry. Which coach do general managers say manages his players' minutes the best?"
"Thibs!"
"NO IT'S NOT THIBS"
"I know I know I know. Okay, well, if it's not Thibs, and I don't know how it couldn't be Thibs, then, well, uh, um, I gotta say in my basketball world it would probably be Popovich."
"Popovich."
"I knew it."
"Okay next one. According to general managers, which coach runs the most stuff?"
"Is it Vinny?"
"IT'S NOT VINNY! VINNY ISN'T EVEN COACHING!"
"He coached last year!"
"It's not Vinny."
"Okay, well, um, ah, okay, what was the question again?"
"Most stuff run."
"Is it Popovich?"
"Popovich."
"Good choice."
"Now which coach, according to general managers, has the most improved odor?"
"Mehmet Okur."
"He's not a coach!"
"But I can assure you his odor is much improved!"
"It's Popovich."
"Popovich."
"...Popovich."

I need one of these futuristic radios CH has. I'd probably stick with the crop reports though.

It would be a hell of a lot of fun if this Bulls team could go through the end of the year without significant injury to any of the following:

Rose
Boozer
Noah
Deng
Butler
Dunleavy

IF they were able to pull this off and not have serious health issues to multiple bench warmers it will be a very good year. Personally, I think the Bulls need the 13th player to be a more suitable foward/center, but supposedly the team is going with Mike James.

Just start the season already.

Spiegel gets a lot of shit for taking so many days off because of his cover band, but Boers is stealing more than anyone else at that station. When pressed for details or when asked to explain his opinion it becomes clear that he knows nothing.

Agreed. I don't notice when he's off or there, it's just noise until Bernstein or a guest starts speaking. Basically anyone with a thought.

there were three things that contributed to Terry sounding like a stumblebum.

1. Classification of guards/forwards/centers

2. Classification of "most improved" which included Harden, which is ridiculous

3. Terry always ends up wanting to use the segment to highlight his own thoughts, rather than trying to guess accurately which guy the survey picked. It would be better to have Terry reading the questions and Dan answering them.

Over the last several years, the main thing that results in Terry sounding like a stumblebum is asking him to express his own thoughts rather than merely repeating what Dan said seconds prior.

And that goes for just about anything, not just sports-related topics. Last week he insisted that someone (Jeter?) had a kid, and after looking it up Dan and Matt found out that he does not have a child. Instead of just saying "Oh, I guess he doesn't.", Terry insisted that he did, despite having nothing to back him up other than he may have seen Jeter and a woman on TV standing within several feet of a human under the age of 10.

If Terry says a TV show or movie is stupid and they ask him why, the conversation usually goes like this:

Terry: "Oh my God...that's awful."
Dan: "Why?"
Terry: "Because it is."
Dan: "But why? Did you see it?"
Terry: "No."
Matty: "Then how do you know it's awful?"
Terry: "Because, it is. I don't need to see it."
Dan: "But that doesn't make any sense. How can you know it's awful if you haven't seen it?"

And then Terry proceeds to make a fool out of himself for the next 10 minutes and Dan and Matt laugh and say "Ha, Ha...that's Terry!"

Terry has good days and bad days. On his good days there's no one like him on air in Chicago talking sports, and there's no show like their show in Chicago talking sports (or Spotty the dog). That's why I'll always tune in, hoping it's a good day.
