That happens every day at colleges around the nation but only NU films it and puts it on their website including the call home.

:lol: Yeah. It doesn't really fit in with the way people want to portray college athletics. It's because it's Northwestern and unnecessarily expensive that makes it a big deal. No one cares when the walk-on at SIU gets a scholarship for a year.

And this is very common in basketball. When a coach misses on a recruit or someone leaves early, the coach is left with an extra schollie for this year. Note they said he was on scholarship this year. Will they film when Collins finds someone better than this kid and tells him he doesn't have a ride for 2014-15?
