No he wasn't. That guy wasn't making any points whatsoever. He couldn't name one reason why this year's team was better than the 2011 squad. He just said because Derrick says so, and then he went to the "Where did you play your ball?" bullshit. Horrible caller, that was deservedly mocked.

Derrick has to say that this is the best team he has ever played on. What is he supposed to say? That "this team sucks, and we were better two years ago?" The media would crucify him for saying something like that.

Apparently this one has ESPN chops on her resume or something. One thing I noticed with the Pac-12 media at the Rose Bowl, and I’ve seen this with the east coast markets as well- the consistent hiring of (literally) cheerleaders, beauty pageant winners and bikini models as sports reporters is much more prevalent on the coasts than in the Midwest. Chicago is the third largest market and we have no woman who comes close to fitting that mold. (Well, CBS 2′s Megan Glaros was a Colts cheerleader, but she’s a weather reporter).

And yeah, we’re leading this post with the cleavage abundant Halloween costume shot.

I heard a few minutes of this on the way home. I heard Terry start out saying, "If you think Jimmy Butler is better than 2 guards such as........................" Long Pause, some mumbling, then a "you're crazy."

He tried to talk about how Butler has improved, but Dan said he couldn't do that because last year didn't matter. But if you're going to talk about how someone has improved, their past performance factors into the equation. He also tried to make a point using Houston as an example but Dan kept shouting him down.



That was bad, as was the "your momma" line.
