Because all of Chicago media reports the same thing and very few actually get news, On Friday Nov 8 and Sat Nov 9, the Cubs are hosting an "Intervention" (OK, not sure what they are calling it) but 2 sessions a day at the Bank of America Theatre unveiling the new Ballpark plans and the "State of the Team" It is being hosted by Crane and Theo. I assume Tommy Ricketts will be around.

As the cubs have now gone through a few interviews, I would assume someone is near on the rader and Torey could be it, thus a manager hiring this week I think is a real possibility.

Thats why I think they either sign him or hire one of the guys they already met with. As if they are waiting to give him a last shot before they move on someone.

And I think they expect some hostility, not much, but some and would like to have this wrapped up before then.

They are going to name AJ Hinch the new manager during the 1st quarter of Monday Night Football when they think no one is paying attention.

The importance of the Basball America rankings is getting out of control. I love BA more than the next person but I understand what they are and what they're not. They are not scouts. They're journalists whose job is to sell magazines and on-line subscriptions.

There is no doubt BA caters to the more popular teams because that's just good business. Hell with how prospect insane Cubs fans are these days I'm surprised they didn't rank them first. That would have been good for a boat load of new sales.

On a more positive note, we would like to introduce our new field manager Yosh Kiwana. We feel he will give us an upper hand in dealing with our the emerging Asian market as he speaks Japanese and therefore must be good dealing with anyone from the entire continent."

Waiting a month for the likes of Torey Louvullo?

Torre & Lou in his name,so he has that going for him.

Well,at least he would not be a recycled guy. Are the Cubs going to tell me he would be better than a Dave McKay or a Chris Bosio whom they already employ? I would like Theo to answer that at a press conference.

most managers had great interviews. Then they suck at managing and get fired. Perhaps doing away with the interview process would be a good start.

Seriously!!!! Are you just saying this because of what they said about your beloved Sox system? I mean come on they moved the Sox up to 25th overall...... or are you just making stuff up again....

Maybe this is what put you over the edge...

From the BA "The Future is NOW article.... by Matt Eddy

WHITE SOX 25th

RHP Erik Johnson (IL) • OF Avisail Garcia (IL) • SS/2B Marcus Semien (SL) • 2B/SS Carlos Sanchez (IL) • OF Courtney Hawkins (CAR)

Johnson, Garcia and Semien all received late-summer callups and will be key pieces of Chicago’s rebuild beginning in 2014. Sanchez and Hawkins didn’t hit at all in 2013, which tells you a lot about system depth.

and Boy do they cater to those BIG market teams ...here is the TOP 5 systems in Matt's article

1. Boston...yep a BIG market 9th in home attendance
2. Houston... uh no 27th in home attendance NOT a popular team
3. San Diego.. another no 20th in home attendance NOT a popular team
4. Texas... OK 5th in home attendance
5. CUBS... YEP BIG market BIG fan base 12th in home attendance
5. Kansas City ... I don't think so 26th in home attendance NOT a popular team

Yep definitely catering to those popular teams at least 50% of the time

as far as sales BA has about 32,000 in circulation...so obviously this article is their chance to increase that HUGE circulation by how many?????

As to them being just journalist and not scouts... yes they are writers ... but they go to an awful lot of games in the APPY and SAL... and they talk to real scouts at those games and have been doing it for over 30 years... Callis was there for 26 before leaving this year.... but he is a know nothing RIGHT SCOUT SOZE....now that he writes for MLB what is he selling?

They aren't the only ones who think the Cubs system is Top notch...BP's Jason Parks has the Cubs in the TOP 3 and maybe even #1..... but he too is also only trying to sell BP subscriptions to Cubs fans

How about Mayo? Sickles? where do they rank the Cubs system... and what are they selling?

And for the Record BA named YOUR White Sox the Organization of the year in 2000 ... guess they were looking for that Southside bump in circulation... or were they just catering to those popular teams?

Yuo make some really good observations (though through rose colored glasses n the White Sox forum...but when you post anything here your credibility is totally destroyed.....

Never let facts get in the way of a slanted biased post

That has been my opinion of Keyser for quite awhile. It is a shame he lets his bias in the way because otherwise he could be a real good baseball poster.

Keyser, how does INQUISITOR's ass taste?

Ok. I'm going to give you the thrill of a lifetime. I'm actually going to respond to one of your cries for my attention though I'm not going to give it near the time or effort you give mine because you're just not worth it.

I know Jim Callis writes for MLB. I know this because he was asking me my opinion last week in Jupiter. What were you doing last week? Sitting in front of your computer hitting refresh waiting for me to post so you could try to call me out on something that ultilmately will be as wrong as the other idiots on this board?

Here's some advice. Rather than obsessing over everything I post and playing the role of the Cubbie Butt Hurt Police shut up read and try to learn something.

He is going to be disappointed when he gets there and finds out Williams left for Washington!!!

Last I heard is they actually interviewed Brad Ausmus. They are milking this thing way too long. Keeping the fact they are not moving forward with new construction of the park or the team with this bullshit search on the sport headlines in town.

I read that they had Ausmus in yesterday as well. At least he is a legit candidate unlike some of the shit they brought in.

There is no reason to be in a hurry. It is November 2nd.

Last week I was in Long Grove...this week I am in Arizona... I have been to a few AFL games and will be heading to Surprise later today for the Fallstars game...... who did you see in Jupiter that impressed you last week? Where you there for the opening day of the WWBA?...if you are out here let's meet up at Tia Rosas or Don and Charlies...I'll buy the first round

Just wondering what exactly will be ultimately be more wrong..... ALL the Cubs prospects failing or Marcus Siemen and his .188 AFL batting avg to go along with 17 K in 48AB being the greatest shortstop in White Sox history?

Probably the Cubs contending for a World Series within the next five years.
