Yeah. It's a little different than when I joined but it's not a drastic difference. I can understand people not liking the way the board is run. That being said complaining about "over moderating" here and then going somewhere else that is moderated way more than anything BF has ever done is really silly. They need to find a new excuse or just say they're willing to give up more posting freedom if it means they don't have to be under the thumb of BF.

I'll take this opportunity to defend myself, mainly because it's halftime.

Consistent moderation is all anyone wants when it comes to a public forum. I can't say I've experienced that here on every occasion. I've had a lot of good years on this board, met a lot of good people. That's cool.

BigFan apparently put me on some arbitrary "list" because his feelings got hurt over some piddly shit a couple years ago. That's fine. Whatever. He's the man with the big red button, so he can turn us on and off whenever he wants.

The issue is that I can't tell what is fair game or what might set off the moderator. There's no consistency there. Over the last year or so it seems like it almost became a game. This was even more evident when a recent thread of mine was deleted, then recreated by the moderator.

Now before Biggie wants to get all pissed and start sending me PM's again, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's done a hell of a lot of good for the folks on this board... or so I've been told. I've not had the pleasure of meeting him in person. In fact, my opinion of his moderation has nothing to do with him personally. Again, I've not met him.

So, all in all, I'll give the "new board" a chance just like I did this one years ago. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, because the internet is stupid anyway.

I guarantee they won't let him talk about dry fingering over there.

Yeah. Every so often a post gets deleted. It's normally for a fairly obvious reason.

Though, a few days ago, when I had no idea there was another board, I made a post that said something like "Are the rumors of another board true?". It didn't last very long. It turns out the rumors I had made up were true.

I will not get into a pissing match if they want to do there own thing then fine. If they want to rag on people fine. I have seen this happen with other internet groups over the years. The main reasons things happen is because after time you meet people face to face. You then add the filter of knowing the real person behind the screnname. You then do not treat them the same way as you did before. That is why some ofthe oldest boards/groups survive. Most of the time you never meet most/any of the other posters so therefore you do not connect to them on a mostly human level. You can have unfettered and totally outlandish talks,things we as decent humans would never talk about or say to each other in person. Once you make the connection then it becomes a totally different monster. You start to treat each other like a human does. Then you get pissed off and your little circle of like minded goes your own way. That is fine. The only thing I have a problem with is that they are both trying to keep it secret and the fact that they are saying shit about others. I have no problem with people who dislike me ad will say it to me. But to do so on a separate arena and also to be two faced. That is bullshit. Darkside, I do not know what the name or address of the other board is. If they things being alluded to on here are true I prob would not be welcome over there esp is OKC is in a position of power.
