I always liked IB too but that's some disingenuous bullshit. Too much of that lately from too many folks around here and there.

I've said many times that I didn't like the overmoderation over here. Not just my own posts, but other people's threads, mults, etc. When I started posting, this place was the wild west. Things changed and I found myself posting less and less. Whatever. It's a big internet.

I have no idea what the hell is going on in the grander scheme of things. I didn't even know about the other board until 10:30ish last night. I basically check things here two or three times a week, and usually only the B&B section and the Bears section.

My ideal is where everyone posting on both boards can post whatever without moderation unless people are revealing personal info or harassing in real life. If KS was banning people because of some feud, and it sounds like he was, then that was overwhelmingly stupid.

IB if you think that place won't be ten times fucking worse than it is here when it comes to "moderation" you're deluding yourself. Hey, give them a shot, sees how it goes for you.

KS and Kid don't have the thickest skin. Say what you will about BF but he let a lot go for a long time. There were people here calling him fags and everything else and he let them post. IIRC someone even created a moniker mocking him and he allowed it. No way in hell that ever happens with Kid and KS.

I'll take this opportunity to defend myself, mainly because it's halftime.

Consistent moderation is all anyone wants when it comes to a public forum. I can't say I've experienced that here on every occasion. I've had a lot of good years on this board, met a lot of good people. That's cool.

BigFan apparently put me on some arbitrary "list" because his feelings got hurt over some piddly shit a couple years ago. That's fine. Whatever. He's the man with the big red button, so he can turn us on and off whenever he wants.

The issue is that I can't tell what is fair game or what might set off the moderator. There's no consistency there. Over the last year or so it seems like it almost became a game. This was even more evident when a recent thread of mine was deleted, then recreated by the moderator.

Now before Biggie wants to get all pissed and start sending me PM's again, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's done a hell of a lot of good for the folks on this board... or so I've been told. I've not had the pleasure of meeting him in person. In fact, my opinion of his moderation has nothing to do with him personally. Again, I've not met him.

So, all in all, I'll give the "new board" a chance just like I did this one years ago. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, because the internet is stupid anyway.
