Is everyone in favor of the chatroom stuff for all the major events?

I've been in some and I get that they can be entertaining. But, I enjoy stuff being chronicled in a thread that can be accessed and commented on at any time.

The chats are difficult to use on a phone. So, I usually take a pass.

But, the Bears game threads are pretty nonexistent these days. And now the McNugget Challenge will be lost to history. It seems like it's just as easy to post in a thread as a chat. To me, most threads are a chat anyway.

Chats are fun here and there but I like everything documented so it can be read later.

I always liked the Bears threads even if I wasn't on the board and I was reading it later.

However, you may be in luck this time since the chat seems to be broken. I log in and it just asks me to login again when I click on the chat link.

If you leave a chat for just a little while, it is next to impossible to get caught up. Then you end up on the outside of all the inside jokes. Which is where I usually am anyway.

threads. chats require you to watch the chat...and miss the game. after missing 5-7 plays, i'm usually out.

although...for baseball it might work. Masters Chat!

youre doing it wrong. chats are great for the immediate reaction to a play. if you miss plays because youre trying to read everything in the chat, just stop that. not everything everyone types is important.

i hate going though 8 pages of thread just to read crappy comments from bear fans. with the chat, you just get what you want when you want it, and you can be as silly as you want because it all goes away after the game.

a lot of threads are going away pretty quick too

i get that Ikey, but i just find myself paying more attention to the little screen in my lap than the big screen across the room and missing the action. sometimes that is not the case, but more often than not (for me) i miss shit.

Why choose one or the other? Chatters gonna chat. Posters gonna...take their time and think of something to say and then type it in and edit it and then maybe post it 20 minutes after it was relevant, and then delete it right away because 5 other posters already posted the same thing.

Threads are good. Watching with other people and just posting from my phone. Chat is too much of a hassle.
