Obviously it wasn't a sleeper pick as he was interviewed at the very beginning of the process. Had you posted something indicating it was already known to be true when my post was made, it might seem credible. But to do so now only seems like you are desperately trying to take credit away from that post. That's okay, I understand....

Just saying I said so here before the story was reported. Drinky said it before me here, but everyone scoffed at his report. I backed him up and stated that I knew it was in fact accurate. So for me to say that I said it first would not be accurate. Whether Drinky was guessing or had personal knowledge I can't say.

You would lose that bet. It was the same guy that gave me the information I posted here about the Blackhawks getting the Winter Game at Wrigley Field, which I posted here before it was reported. Danny Mac even said that he learned of it first from me(the Winter Classic). I just happened to see the guy this past Sunday and was told what was going on.

B&B were strongly implying that the Girardi pursuit and expectations were coming from above Theo's office and that Theo never had a realistic expectation that he would leave New York.

I'm going to have to go back and read some older articles, but that's a narrative I don't quite remember hearing about.

C'mon JORR, Bernstein's track record on "insider" Cubs info is horrible. Sure, the Cubs reached out to Girardi. No one doubts that. But I've learned the truth with the Cubs is the exact opposite of Bernstein's "insider" info. He's worse than Kaplan. At least Kaplan is right 25% of the time.

For weeks and weeks Dan couldn't take slow enough or patronize enough about how it was all about Girardi. It's not imaginary radio if it actually happened over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over .........

Anybody with critical thinking skills could see the Girardi thing wasn't going to happen. I remember most of the board laughing about the possibility that Girardi would leave the GLORIOUS New York Yankees to manager the north side shitshow. The Cubs would have jumped at Girardi if he was interested and they wouldn't have even picked up the phone to call Edgar Renteria

I'm starting to see some disturbing trends in Theo's leadership. This particular trend is to let the public know through backchannels that when an action goes poorly he was forced to make the move from ownership. He did the same thing with his horrible FA signing at the end of his run in Boston.

Hey everyone bashed the Lackey signing, but he was a major reason why they won the World Series this year. I remember reading he never wanted Carl Crawford but upper management wanted a splash.

Who's to say that this guy isn't better than Girardi? I hope he is.
