bernstein is only anti-bullying when he's on the wrong side of the power dynamic. When he's the Sam in the bully formation (intellectual and emotional) everything is great. When he's the Will (physical) all of a sudden he's whining about reporting someone to authorities. If some little shit calls you retarded and you blast him in the face, I don't think the authorities should do a damn thing about it. In fact, they should just say, "Hey asshole, don't call that big dummy a retard anymore."

I think it's a great segment. He does seem to enjoy it. You can tell he understands the bit.

I think he would be sad if the segment was cancelled.

I've been thinking this exact same thing since Bob first called in to B&B several months ago. When he first started calling I think we all had an inkling that Bob perhaps had some sort of disability. After dozens of appearances on the show and having seen pictures on the website, it's clear to everyone that Bob is indeed a person of some kind of special needs.

Has he become some sort of mascot for the show? I think absolutely he has. At first, the first person I thought he was like was Mike from Milwaukee. But Mike just seems to be a goofy cracker drunk. Bob is different. He seems like a genuinely nice person who loves the show and has enjoyed being a part of it. B & B have not necessarily disrespected him but it does feel uncomfortable that he has become this butt of jokes and again, as some sort of goofy mascot. It doesn't sit particularly well. They've never actually insulted him and seem to genuinely like him. But yes, it does almost seem like a form of hazing or almost taking advantage of his condition and making fun of it at his own, unrealizing expense.
