I can give you this advice- go for a slightly older crowd. I am about to hit 40. My wife and I go out quite a bit. I have found that once women hit 40, they are just ready to have fun. Some are divorced and looking to hook up. The married ones typically hate their husbands and are just looking for attention. It's like complete role reversal from college days where guys are chasing girls.

The worst thing they can say is "no". So keep asking.

Some sort of club or league like someone said. There are tons of them online for any interest. When I still lived there I loved the smaller bar joints around your area. Unless Daley killed all the small taverns? Much better to meet or become a regular and you'll meet folks. Just pick ones that upon first look or two isn't a sausage fest.

Not true! It's hard to go from being married to single and figure out what you want to do. Everybody will tell you what you SHOULD do... JORR's chicken pox on the next person who tells me I HAVE to get out there.

Lt. Drebin, 1 month is soon to be thinking about anything but short term, in my experience (at the 6 month mark).

Not sure I want to do the "online" thing. Plus, probably going back to Texas before next winter, so I don't want to start anything here.
