Not a single fuck will be given that day, either.

You'll read it.

You know you will.

Now you've got me curious.

Apparently there was another ND fan who posted similarly.

We're all cut from the same cloth more-or-less though. Although I presume these other guys weren't pushing 50 like I am...!

When you get older like me, it doesn't seem at all like 26 years since Timmy Brown collected his Heisman Trophy.

Seems like yesterday when Holtz stated "Jimmy Johnson's ass is mine" when the pig-faced Satan brought his Hurricanes to South Bend. Image

Illinois is 2-0.

If anybody predicts 5 losses for them, they can expect a sternly worded letter.

The very existence of the ND football program makes me question my catholic faith.

In lieu of this user's avatar, I ponder the question: What would it be like to muff Muffet McGraw's muff?

I want you to burn your copy of Doug Looney's Under the Tarnished Dome immediately. The odor generated is guaranteed to replicate Bob Davie's 'emissions' following his visit to a Michiana Taco Bell.

I've never had to "question" my Catholic faith because I'm a Greek Orthodox Christian -- although our creed states that we are "one holy, Catholic, and Apostolic church."

Still though, I had a problem as a 19-year old freshman when the prof asked me to start class with a (Catholic) prayer. The prof probably would have understood some of the Greek had I gone with something I knew, but the guys from Joliet Catholic would have been clueless...!

God's gift to ND fans. Always a plus when your coach looks hot in a skirt.

USC sucks this year. I would be shocked if ND doesn't roll them at home in a game that will be played in cold conditions.

Oklahoma just put up a 13 spot on WV at home. That game is certainly in play.

The one not listed that I would be worried about is Navy.

I'm sure Navy is hoppin' mad over the lickin' they got in Ireland last year. This year's game is at ND Stadium (11-2) -- I'd be a little more concerned if it were a home game for Navy out east.

The BYU contest (at ND, 11-23 - possible snow game) is a much bigger question mark this year; their win over Texas has them on the radar screen again. I have an ND loss @ Stanford as very likely, so along with the loss at UM there's 2 -- possibly the Cougars will make 3.

Here's something the Chicago media may not have posted yet: A complete list of ACC Football opponents for ND over the next 3 seasons. Home games at ND Stadium as far as we know at this point:

2014
UNC Tarheels
Louisville Cardinals
Wake Forest Demon Deacons
@ FSU Seminoles
@ Syracuse Orange

2015
BC Eagles
GT Yellowjackets
@ Clemson Tigers (look out -- big matchup)
@ Pitt Panthers
@ Virginia Cavaliers

2016
Duke Blue Devils
Miami Hurricanes
VT Hokies
@ NC St. Wolfpack
@ Syracuse Orange

Both Syr games to be played at MetLife Stadium in NJ

We're talking regular season. Kelly lost 4 regular season games in 2011, not 5, and iirc 2010 was an 8-win season as well. Regardless, of those seasons you mention, Charlie Weis was responsible for most of them.

I'd appreciate a correction, but as I indicated under Kelly, the records have been 8 wins, 8 wins, and 12 wins.

All 4 remaining losses seem possible.

I mean, how many will they even be favored in?

1?

I hope Al Lesar is right.

Of the remaining games Lesar has put in the "L" column, only the Stanford game will be played on an opponent's campus, and that one is the most likely loss anyway.

People who root against ND seem to think the Irish will be running scared of Oklahoma. A team that got it handed to them last year in Norman...!

This is an ND team that's steadily improved in depth. As the year wears on, they should be in good position -- favored or not.

Bump

Record: 6-2 right now.

It's pathetic when the ND fan of average means can better predict the outcome of a season than vaunted and acclaimed sportswriters.

Actually it's just the same bias that's led to the South Bend Tribune's edict that on the morning of every home ND football game, at least one vitriolic anti-ND letter to the editor will be published, preferably from a pompous Michigan fan. And more preferably one by an absolute moron

Losing to Pitt at home. Terrible. They're lucky everybody was watching LSU-ALA.

It's more than "in trouble".

I'm an ND fan. Stanford kicks this team's ass and makes them like it. In fact, ND might plagiarize a paper about it from a Stanford player afterward.

I bet ND under 9 wins, so if they win out, the bet pushes. Stanford will light them up. WINNING!

P.S. wrong section

Here is the interesting thing. He predicted that Notre Dame would have 1 loss right now. Oops. So even at 4 losses he still was way off.

Stanford really isn't a team that blows people out. Notre Dame may hang around. I don't see Notre Dame winning it though.

They're lucky they won as many as they did. They could have easily lost 2 or 3 more.
