I get why he didn't want to do just 1 (pull them away from the fence even further to buy more time), but he should have saved at least 1, IMO. Unless it was more of an act to prove even further that he was done being a farmer.

On Talking Dead they mentioned that the reason he killed them all is because he was worried about the pigs spreading the flu.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Should change the name of this show to Sleepwalking Dead (cite: my facebook post two days ago)

I guess AMC's practice of firing showrunners more often than George Steinbrenner fired managers is finally catching up to them cause this season has been total garbage so far.

Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think the lack of activity in this thread as opposed to the activity during previous seasons is indicative of the masses siding with me on this one.

Or it could just be because IMU got banned. Did he get banned? I thought I read something like that and I haven't seen him around here lately.

I think they are doing a good job of getting some new characters developed and fleshing out some of the older characters like Michonne and Carol.

They needed to do this. It can't just be about Rick running around and losing his mind all the time. I think it will pay off and is already starting with Tyrese.

I tend to side with Doc on this. The season is moving a little slower but gaining traction as
we can see which characters are going to be with us a while as they develop them a bit more.
I still want to know more about the young black man with Daryl's group and maybe that will
happen in the next few episodes as they search for medicine. I am just glad to see a new
storyline outside of the prison.

You will. That actor has too high of a profile to bring in and not at least give a storyline to. I think it will have to do with his alcoholism (given his scene in the Big Lot store).

I know I read about him before the season. Can't remember if it has been revealed on the show yet but he is
some type of medic from the armed forces so I am pretty sure he will be sticking around. Hadn't thought about
the booze angle before.

I'm pretty sure if I ever stopped drinking that I'd wander through liquor sections and just pick up bottles of wine and stare at them for a while before setting them back.

To paraphrase Mike from Breaking Bad "that's the universal symbol for alcoholic".

Nice call on your guess Doc. Pretty solid episode overall. Can't believe Carol is gone. They are really trying to
focus on the characters more and less slicing and dicing of the zombies but I like it.

That episode had some problems. I'm going to have to rewatch this but I didn't get the alcohol thing. So, he goes all that way and all he had in his backpack was a bottle of booze? Why weren't they all jamming every bottle of whatever drug they could get their hands on and bring it back.

It's the Zombie Apocalypse. You hoard everything you can get your hands on. You don't just fill out and retrieve a shopping list.

None of that made any sense to me. Maybe it will make more sense if I watch it again.

I can't really explain the not taking all the drugs thing. They were just looking for a couple certain kinds. As for
the booze I assumed that is what he picked up behind that desk but when I rewound it I still didn't see any bottle
there so I was confused. I also didn't hear what Daryl said to him before he got in his face. Was he essentially
saying go ahead and have your booze but if you cause any trouble due to it you have to deal with me?

Best episode of the season by far. Wasn't expecting to see the governor at the end there.

yep. Looking forward to next week and hopefully some flashback scenes to what the governor has been up to.

Also, in general this show needs way more flashback scenes letting us know what people have been through to get to this point physically and mentally. I really hope they have an episode with flashbacks to Michonne's story of how she got her two pets, if they follow the comic its quite good.

Hopefully we also get some looks at what Carol is going to to do on her own. I'm guessing she meets up with the hippie guy from last episode and that we will get a flashback to how his girlfriend got her leg so cleanly cut off before being eaten by zombies.

one thing that annoyed me about last night's episode was why they didn't bother to lock all the sick people in their cells at night???? They kept closing the doors, but that didn't lock them. How hard would it have been to chain lock all the cells???? I'm sure they have lots of chains and locks laying around.

so i guess its clear by now there is no place on earth where people werent effected? no other group on the planet bigger then a few dozen people? maybe only a few million people left alive? otherwise, by now people would find eachother.

Surprised by the lack (none) of comments for last night's show. I'll start.

The fuck was that? I'd like the 43 minutes of my life back.

That was them trying to redeem a character that can't be redeemed.

They want you to care so they can yank that away later for a gut-punch but you can't make anyone care about that guy anymore.

I can't believe they're going to do another episode about him next week.

A couple Stone Enjoy By 12.13.13 caused me to miss the final 1/3 of last night's episode. The first 2/3 was a snooze fest.

Had my first Double Bastard of the season during the Bears game yesterday. Unfortunately, it did not make me miss the end which had some troubling logical decision-making.

Huh? I thought the episode was great. They had to give some sort of backstory on what happened to the guy.

Agreed. Good episode, devote the time so it's in stone and understood. Better than piecing it together through flashbacks every ep.

It was funny though, they kept on having him do these tasks for them...
"Oh yeah, uh, the whole 4th floor is over run by zombies and I know we took your gun.....but could you go up there and get a checkers set for us? Thaaaaaanks"

It seemed pretty straight forward to me. The dude had hit rock bottom, and had pretty much given up. He meets this family, that happens to have a young girl that reminds him of his own daughter. Now he has something to live for. This doesn't mean he's just going to forget about the prison and any revenge he wants.

I thought just the whole episode was off. Too rushed, too many oddities. Sounds stupid to say a show about zombies wasn’t believable but this one seemed like such a stretch.
