If Ryan Theriot's name is not anything but a sick twisted joke, I fucking quit the Cubs.

If I had to choose someone off the list I would probably go with Glanville. He is pretty good on television
so just not sure how he would transition to radio, but I think he would do well.

Doug Glanville got the biggest clutch hit for the Cubs in the last 60 years or so

I saw him on Comcast a few years ago. He knows his stuff. That would be a great move to get him.

Very well spoken and knows the game. I think that would be a good team on the radio.

DeRosa was really good doing pre and post during for the playoffs. K Dub has to really think this one over. He probably knew Moreland wouldn't be around long but if he doesn't take an announcers job now he might not get another opportunity for a while.

Is the radio deal with the Cubs in flux as well? Nobody decent is going to take a 1 or 2 year deal.

Glanville seems like the logical choice if the Cubs are really looking for a color guy. :eye:

Heard a suggestion they should hire Mark Grace to sit with Len Kasper, and move Deshaies to radio. Same with Wood...would probably be a better fit for TV than radio (though bad at both).

I would like to see Deshaies gone as well as Moreland. Grace on TV and Pleasac on radio.

No to both. Grace is a d-bag and Plesac is waaaay to chatty and hyper. DeSahies isn't going anywhere. I think Len likes him.

Too bad they fucked up the Brenly signing so badly.

Grace or Sutcliffe would be good with Pat. Pat needs to play the straight man to the goofy guy. "Move Jim Deshaies to radio," what the fuck is wrong with you?

I'd enjoy the irony of hiring Mark DeRosa to call games after they booted him out of town for...talking too much. And then who did they replace him with the next year? Aaron Miles? ugh

I guess it depends on the economics of TV vs radio. Deshaies is boring in either booth; perhaps Grace can rejuvenate the TV side.

That's how I feel about it. In a major market like Chicago, with a new TV/radio contract to begin after the 2014 season, they need an upgrade in both booths. Hughes is top shelf as is Casper.

Haven't hear any of DeRosa. I like Glanville.

It's sure to be an upgrade. Of course, I said the same thing when Cletus Spuckler took over for Santo.

The Toronto Blue Jays have called a press conference to announce Mark DeRosa's retirement... coincidence?

Of course I have no idea what he will be like which is why I didn't comment on what he will be like. All I said was this was another move generating no buzz.

You're quickly moving up the ranks in the Cubbie Butt Hurt Police. At ease, Sergeant.

So now the Cubs have a color Man who says "you know" every 15 seconds. Not good.
