On Monday night, the Miami Dolphins had 2 (TWO) total yards rushing on 14 attempts, or 5.1 inches per carry.

At that rate, it would take 71 carries to get a first down.

Jay Cutler has the 29th best career QB Rating in NFL History.

Better than -

John Elway

Phil Simms
Troy Aikman

Every single QB that has ever taken a snap for the Bears

I think that says more about the value of QB rating than about the value of Jay Cutler.

Yeah, it's flawed. Just thought it was interesting.

The thing that kills the older QBs is completion % and interceptions. Today's offenses have much higher completion %s than back in the day. Even somebody like Elway was consistently in the low/mid-50%s for most of his career. Dan Fouts had a shitload of interceptions. If you look at the top 20 of most interceptions thrown by a QB ever, only Favre and Manning are in the top 20 from the past 20 years or so.

Here's one -

Cam Newton's career 13.0 yards/completion is higher than any NFL QB that's taken a snap since Vince Evans hung it up in 1995.

Since August 10th, nearly 20% (19.75%) of NFL players have been put on the IR.
