This started years ago when Edinger was on the Bears. Dan thought he sounded like the guy from Slingblade and started making fun of him using that voice. The implication, of course, being that Edinger was very stupid. It wasn't really funny, but Dan thought it was hilarious and beat it into the ground. It sounded more mean-spirited than anything else and AFAIK Edinger had never been as ass to anybody and didn't deserve to be ridiculed or mocked like that.

I thought Edinger ended up being some kind of secessionist from the UP who rolled his truck while drunk driving
