Sure he probably would have been like Clinton. I just wonder if all the stuff that comes out after would have tarnished him like Teddy became a joke as just a senator?

He wasn't a joke. He was arguably the most respected Senator.

the truth is above my paygrade. i have no idea what happened here, nor am i supposed to. given what i've encountered about "magic bullets" and "zapruder films" and whatnot, alongside that whole thing where LHO had to have ~7 seconds of perfection going BLAM *reload* BLAM *reload* BLAM to get the shots off as is the official story, there's gotta be more to this somehow someway etc.... but that's above my paygrade.

growing up my dad always assumed it was a mob hit because him and his lilbro the attorney general were going after the mob after using them and their legions of deceased votes to get elected, so it was a case of biting the hand that feeds you. that was b4 conspiracy theory culture was made mainstream in the name of "controlled opposition" so i guess i'll go with something like that as opposed to saying that it was a giant public satanic ritual to give power to the kind of people who think meeting up in a secluded location to burn a giant effigy of moloch is a good idea.

Their kids are worse.

+1. By far the worst generation is Generation Y. Baby Boomers are a big pain in the ass, too. And that "Greatest Generation" could go fuck itself in the eye.

For some. For others he was a womanizing alcoholic killing Mary joe and covering up his nephews rape in Florida.

I was talking about his colleagues. They loved and respected the man. Obviously others felt differently and for some good reasons beyond the normal politics.

Sorry. Anyway I was getting at that sort of dirty stuff coming out and had he not been killed would JFK get the same love when his closets got opened.

I imagine some of those doors would have stayed closed. History would be different but his death was probably great for his legacy and not necessarily good for the country.

While I have multiple reasons as to why I believe Oswald acted alone, the clincher for me as to why I don't buy the conspiracy theories is that it is impossible for humans to keep their mouths shut. In order to have a conspiracy you have to have more than one person, and in the case of the JFK assassination you would need quite a few. If one thing has been made abundantly clear over history is that people cannot keep a secret, especially a good one. If there was some cabal put together to pull it off it would have come out long ago. That, and as it has been pointed out early in this thread, the shots weren't that hard to make. And yes, I fired a bolt action rifle before. :)

Impossible for humans to keep their mouths shut....ever hear of the mafia? Lot's of wiseguys were quite good at it.

mexican drug cartels have spent years developing ways to keep people quiet... highly effective
