Exactly. They purposely signed Campbell to be a backup. Therefore, a backup got paid $3M. These guys are losing me. And with Mac gone I need to explore options.

I'm sure there are plenty of idiot callers and "people on Twitter" who overrate McCown, but bernstein's dismissive "he was coaching high school football" nonsense is just idiotic. He wasn't coaching high school football last Sunday. He was beating one of the better defenses in the NFL.

I would hold out that decision to make sure he is competent the rest of the season. I don't think he will falter though. In the NFL,you need 2 competent QB's,no questions asked.
