Normally I don't care how people do their shit. But this Indian chick at my office would brew a 6 ounce cup of coffee in a 10 oz cup. Add between 5 and 7 packets of equal, and then fill the rest of the cup up with half and half.

Equal is revolting. I can't imagine putting that much in just a cup of coffee.

I could only imagine using that much equal if I wanted to kill all the fish in a small lake.

I don't fault anyone for what they put in their coffee. I don't necessarily understand why they do it, but whatever.

Personally, the worst coffee I ever had was with cream and sugar.

Potential health risks have been examined and dismissed by numerous scientific research projects. With the exception of the risk to those with phenylketonuria*, aspartame is considered to be a safe food additive by governments, worldwide, and major health and food safety organizations. FDA officials describe aspartame as "one of the most thoroughly tested and studied food additives the agency has ever approved" and its safety as "clear cut". The weight of existing scientific evidence indicates that aspartame is safe as a non-nutritive sweetener.
(* - in the USA, estimated incidence is no more than 1 in 15,000 people)

I tried that pumpkin spice non-dairy creamer in the cheap black tea I drink when I don't want to exhaust the good stuff. Never again. It's just palm oil. Sick.

See, people piss and moan like its the end of the world for putting Equal or something in your coffee, yet I can't imagine putting cream-- especially the powdered crap-- into a cup of tea. I love a good cup of tea in the winter or when I have a cold/sore throat, but I just put a little bit of sugar in it. Couldn't imagine doctoring it up any other way.

Again though, to each their own.

coffee black. Tea, which I drink rarely, perhaps with a full Irish breakfast, with cream (real) and a wee bit of sugar (1/2 tsp).

It works with some but definitely not others. English breakfast, chai, lemon, raspberry, stuff like that, those go well with cream and/or sugar. Earl Grey, Constant Comment, Darjeeling, those you don't mess with. And of course green tea, you leave alone.
