So Dan was not nice to an intern when he produced Chet's show.

I have to admit, I didn't particularly care for the Dangerous Dan of Coppock on Sports vintage. Still, the guy was a kid trying to find his way in the industry back in those days. He was trying to impress with his work and I suspect you failed in your assistance.

Just to be clear I was NOT the only one holding this opinion of Dan. There were plenty of on air staff as well. Yes I was an intern...I knew my place. I was not even a sports intern I was an intern for Kevin Matthews and Brandmeier. He must have been 30 or 31 at the time I'm guessing...I know he had a knee brace on for a period of time as well.

Just a couple examples..

I was in the booth doing an edit for Kevin..."are you supposed to be in here?" (yelling like a DICK)....( I was doing my job.)

I took a message for Chet to the sports office "thanks you can leave now!" this kinda crap.

It doesn't matter to me whether you like him or not. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind. As far as getting over it...yeah your right..it was over 20 years ago...I DON"T care..I shared my opinion and experience on a message board! No big deal. Honestly did not think people would get so worked up.

I should say this was 20 years ago and I actually have no idea how he currently acts in the workplace...

Next time, maybe the backstory up front instead of at the back of the story?

I miss McNeil a lot and no bitter former intern is going to change my mind on him. He's always come across as at least a decent guy and he's the best Chicago sports radio has to offer right now.

Hazing? I'm pretty much going to be doing that on thanksgiving and each subsequent day that leftovers exist in my refrigerator.
