What prefaced it was them seeing Rebecca Haarlow on the NFL Network while they were doing the show, and one of them commented on the erroneous report she gave about Cutler last week. S & W asked Jay what percentage of things athletes hear about themselves is wrong and he said about 70%, and then said "Someone on The Score this morning said I was having surgery and was out for the season." He knew his first name was Matt but didn't exactly know what his last name ("Atta...something"), which I believe since it wasn't unusual for people who actually listened to and called Matt on the occasions he'd host a show to not know, either.

I don't think Cutler is fighting with a radio producer, and I'd wager that his notion that "those guys over there are a bunch of clowns" is not exactly unique.

However, I would be surprised if Laurence doesn't use this as an opportunity to defend his girl Rebecca. I'm not sure if you guys know, but Laurence works with her on Channel 5! We might get an installment of "Laurence Holmes Presents: Awkward and Creepy Interviews with Women" today.

So Leary will be interviewing Rebecca to discuss something that was said on a show that Leary won't even acknowledge to exist. Sounds about right.

How bout the fact that Beardown correctly predicted that Drinky's source was actually just listening to Cutler's show on ESPN?

We'll see. Cutler can say he'll be back in two weeks all he wants. Derrick Rose could say he is coming back in two weeks too.

It doesn't mean it is accurate until it actually happens.

No, Beardown has spent 3 pages being a dumbass. Not sure if he heard what Matty said but if I remember correctly he said there was talk (his subtle credit to the Cutler show) Cutler has ankle tendon issues. Then Matty went further and said his source told him Cutler has a torn ankle tendon and he might be out for the season. They are going to see if Cutler should have surgery similar to how a couple years ago he could've came back but Hanie fucked the season so there was no point.

So Matty could still be right. Cutler on the show said he's going to play in Dallas. Everything Matty said could be right. Cutler could have a torn tendon and he should be out for the season but is going to put on a brace and bust out Urlacher's drum of Toradol to shoot himself up to play.

The Bears doctors already caved to Tresty and Cutler so doing so again doesn't make Matty wrong.

I know it's not lost on either of you that our Hall of Fame, Superbowl winning man god of a coach has a nearly 20 year old unauthorized segment on the Score based on his fighting media on the air.

Cutler is injured and has time on his hands. I'm sure it's his wife who spotted the report while doing her daily scouring of the internet for any mention of Cavalleri or Cutler and Jay is just responding off the cuff to her reports to him

He's working on a theme. The interview with Rebecca will follow "In the Film Room with Matt Bowen" in which Leery and Matt break down game film...on the radio.

Why does it matter whether the report ultimately turns out to be accurate? That is not the test. The test of credibility is whether the report was true and accurate at the time of reporting.

Jay did have a tendon issue. He openly stated that 2 weeks ago I believe. Removal of the cast and re mobilization of the ankle would both seem to indicate that the tendon issue is no longer a worry.

I consider week to week as an injury with an indefinite healing time that will hamper playing longer than one game but not necessitating IR.

Take Cutler's groin injury as an example. It is week to week with an expected return of a month but with a possible return of shorter than that.

Alternatively, Briggs is not week to week because the healing time for a bone break is much more static.
