Berstein's wife works from home with her wedding planning thing, right?

If so, I'll give Bernstein credit. He said he does all the grocery shopping and cooking. Not saying women should do the cooking and shopping, not at all, but if he's a 500k a year bread winner working until 6pm and the wife is at home, I'd expect her to shop and cook dinner. Then again, Bernstein said he's very particular about his food and doesn't trust his wife to do it right, so that's why he does it.

Still, you'd think you could teach her to do it right.

Do yourself a favor and never get married. You'll make Frank's problems seem like a fucking picnic.

I'm not a foodie. So I'd be cool with whatever a wife of mine would make as long as it wasn't burnt. Bernstein is clearly a foodie. So I don't relate to him.

Mr South, I understand that you and your fiance have chosen to write your own vows. That is very laudable. As a minister. I'd like to think I'm qualified to give you some pointers. 'Punch them up,' as they say. What do you say? Let's have a look-see...

Man, what horrible thing did I say here? Just a simple conversation and a compliment to Bernstein.

Why does everything have to turn into "BASH BEARDOWN"? Don't answer. Carry on. If it's fun for you, it's cool with me.

If you can't beat them, join them.

White Women: We'd never marry you, Beardown. You'll be eating alone your entire life!!!! Fuck you!!!!

Beardown: Happy, CSFMB?

CSFMB: Yes!!! Go White women!!!!! Fuck you, Beardown!!!!

I usually thank my wife for whatever she makes. After all these years,I still appreciate the effort. I'm not fussy either.

I mean it's either chicken, beef or fish. It's either Italian, Chinese or Mexican, for the most part. Don't burn it and I'm cool with it. But that's just me.

I hate when people bitch about the food at family gatherings. I've never been to one where the food wasn't edible. Keep it to yourself if it's not perfect. Appreciate everybody's effort.

Quick glance at the facebook page says they have office space on Goose Island, so maybe she doesn't work at home. Maybe she doesn't cook as well or derive any happiness from it. I like to make food. This is stupid.

Ok. Just a random thought from something Bernstein discussed. I'd imagine the wedding planning business is dead in the winter, so no reason to go to Goose Island.

Stupid? Yes. Just responding to Bernstein's comments at the moment. Ike made a thread about it so I jumped in.

If Bernstein shops without his wife, how does he reach items on the upper shelves.

They have some kind of weird thing from what I gathered but whatever works. I guess she is some sort of vegan but eats bacon. He cooks for kids and makes something different for himself and eats at like 10pm or something. Whatever.

see i disagree. i met a girl last year, she was awesome in lots of ways, and really hot. but she hated cooking. HATED it. seemed a little immature to me, because even though food isnt a fetish of mine i DO like good food. and i HATE spending money on food... so cooking is an awkward pleasure for me. i dont eat that much but when i do i dont want it to be shitty.

No, the story was, IIRC (she blogged about it and someone posted it here), that Dan was doing a Bears report and the hosts (HFC?) were making fun of his dating life; he said something like "I want a Jewish girl with blonde hair and an English degree," and then her boss was listening and set them up. That's actually pretty cute.

For me, it's the same thing every day. Every day, here it comes. Liver, or fish. Fish, liver, liver, fish. I've eaten a river of liver and an ocean of fish! I've eaten so much fish, I'm ready to grow gills. I've eaten so much liver, I can only make love if I'm smothered in bacon and onions.

Sold.

And I have no idea what norcos are. So, see, it's working already.
