Something should be said by the Score or Mac by now. How long has it been, like 5 weeks? The fact that Mac isn't tweeting is obviously an order from the Score.

They're probably fighting OVER the money remaining on Mac's contract. Mac probably wants all of it. Zim probably doesn't want to give him a dime.

dont think it is an order from the Score, but a smart move on his part.

LOL, most contracts call for WORK, something the Highland Hillbilly isn't doing. My guess is the
extended "leave of absence" is without pay.

When he cures his "addictions" again in 30 days, he will try to come back, but not be welcomed because EVERYONE at the station and in the biz knows it will happen again and again.
His act is old, he's too lazy and really, not very entertaining or interesting.
North sucks but at least he keeps trying, Mac on the other hand, is just a lazy, whining quitter.

I know. It was reported that Mac's "leave of absence" is without pay. Mac would want to return to cash the final few months of his deal. Too much money on the table to walk away from. But I just get the feeling that Zim wants to move away from Mac. Thus, a buy out is probably being worked out right now.

No sources. Just speculation.

I love how all these guys with opinions on the air act like Mac has ceased to exist. Somebody should be allowed to say something instead of clamming up like a trained poodle.

Nobody is saying anything, are you nuts.

They are all scared about losing a job.

Its the reason why TB and Mac are the only 2 worth listening to when it comes to an opinion. Not that they want to lose a job, but it doesnt occupy most of their thoughts, like dannys

Maybe a month ago, Bernstein dumped something Drinky said. I always thought it was the producer who would do that? lol

Isn't this just him taking his ball and going home over not getting the afternoon drive slot? That has to be what it is. I don't blame him for doing it.

Then why did Spiegs imply Mac was having depression issues again?

Maybe he doesn't give a shit about the job and is depressed since didn't get the afternoon slot? If it were strictly a medical issue then there is no way everyone would be acting so weird about it and no way they change the name of the show.

One would think that the Americans with Disabilities Act would apply to even the Score.

If Zimmerman or anyone else at the Score takes a look at the ratings dip that I'm certain their ratings have experienced in Mac's absence, I should think it would become clear just how valuable he is to the station. If anything, they should be looking to sign Dan to an extension to keep him around for years to come. If they decide to terminate Dan, I'm sure ESPN will celebrate the decision with great enthusiasm. Not only does Mac bring better ratings to the 9am-1pm slot, it is important that it leads a bigger audience to the 2pm-6pm suckfest that follows.

Mac is finished. He has no value to any radio station. Whatever value he had he has ruined. Addiction is a terrible thing & it has cost Mac his Radio career. I will never understand how a guy like Mac can have the world by the ass & screw it up. You are making $350K for minimal effort, yet you act like a little bitch whining & complaining about who knows what.

Sure. Meat pants is the greatest sports broadcaster ever and Mitch recognized it and gave him a new deal.

Mac on FB:

Alice Cooper wrote "How You Gonna See Me Now?" for his wife, Sheryl, when he was getting out of a treatment facility for his alcoholism. Makes more sense to me now than ever before.

Dear darlin', surprised to hear from me?
Bet you're sittin' drinkin' coffee, yawnin' sleepily.
Just to let you know,
I'm gonna be home soon.
I'm kinda awkward and afraid,
Time has changed your point of view.

(chorus) How you gonna see me now?
Please don't see me ugly babe,
'Cause I know I let you down,
In oh so many ways.
How you gonna see me now,
Since we've been on our own?
Are you gonna love the man,
When the man gets home?

Listen darlin', now I'm headin' for the West,
Straightened out my head,
But my old heart is still a mess.
Yes I'm worried, honey,
Guess that's natural though.
It's like I'm waitin' for a welcome sign,
Like a hobo, in the snow.

(chorus)

And just like the first time,
We're just strangers again.
I might have grown out of style,
In the place I've been.
And just like the first time,
I'll be shakin' inside,
When I walk in the door,
There'll be no place to hide.
