I've shaken Silvy's hand on a few occasions, and I can 100% confirm this.

You know, we all make fun of Hub Arkush's creepy giggle, but why don't we focus more on Zach Zaidman's creepy giggle? It sounds like he just says the word "heh" over and over, like he's been coached to say "heh heh heh heh heh heh" to denote mirth on the radio.

A good, solid, Bernstein-esque paean to Jay Ratliff's big scary studliness from Z-Squared.

"The scariest looking man I've ever seen."

Maybe some of his scariness will rub off on Shea Mac.

Is Trestman's decision an indication that he doesn't trust the special teams? Why give yourself way more room than necessary for error if you trust your ST unit?

By suggesting that he anticipated "track meets" a couple times this year while explaining curious early attempts at converting fourth downs, I think he threw the defense under the bus. Is he doing the same here to the ST unit? with his explanation of kicking on second down?

I think it's just as simple as he trusted Gould. He thought it was an automatic inside the 50. WRONG.

Yes but you can trust Gould and not trust the unit as a whole. This reflects badly on the ST coordinator. If you trust your entire ST unit, you're not worried about an egregious error or penalty.

I've cracked ribs twice. I've got one cracked right now.

I'm not getting a damn X-ray. Pay $500 to let them tell me to take it easy.

Didnt the Vikings used to take the great Adrian Petersen out of the game on goal line calls?

That has nothing to do with any deficiency on Peterson's part and everything to do with Brad Childress being far and away one of the worst NFL head coaches of the last 25 years.

Well, he's at this moment blowing up a Bernsie Standard - the ol' these guys aren't thinking about "playing for their families. THIS. IS. THEIR. JOB."...

AP has had fumble-itis through out his career. Payton's occurred towards the end of his. For anyone to have the audacity to say "It's not even close" should turn the show over to someone who actually knows sports. What an asshole!

Be that as it may it still means that the GRBOAT was taken out of the game in goal line situations because his coach didn't think he was good enough to punch the ball in. Kinda hard to be the GOAT with that on your resume.

The mere fact that one's head coach is an idiot is pretty much the last thing that should ever disqualify one from consideration. This is especially so since Peterson has not actually demonstrated any on-the-field weakness as a third down or goal line back. This would be like saying since the Colts traded Manning for Luck that Manning could never be considered the greatest quarterback ever (it's hard to when you have Luck being preferred to you on your resume).

I don't think trading an old injured qb coming off major neck surgery because you're drafting his replacement to start is the same as a head coach benching a running back in his prime because he doesn't think he can get tough yardage near the end zone is the same thing but however you want to think of it is up to you.
