:lol: Seems like a number of threads I've read today have really really really gone out to left field from whence they started (e.g., TBone wants someone to tell him it's okay to pay someone to stick a finger up his ass to Floyd/Ramones talk). :lol:

I didn't know where the "out of left field" line came from, until last night's Ch. 11/Chicago show came on talking about the insane asylum outside of left field @ the Cubs' West Side Park. :P

That's fucking awesome .... just yesterday one of my million passing thoughts was regarding the etymology of that exact phrase, and lo and behold I now have my answer very unexpectedly -- horray!
