I just want parents to be educated on the dangers of goats and then they can decide if they want their kids to be around goats!

 The goat one had me laughing out loud. I am quite certain my puppy would do that to a toddler.

Reminds me of the time Larry met a woman at work that had to talk to him.

Talked about Rose, his IQ, his belief in God, and his PR handling.

Best part:
Spiegel: So Dan, do you believe Joos are the chosen ones?
Bernstein: I don't know.

Amazing non-answer answer.

I suspect Spiegs subscribes to the old adage that you never ask a question you don't know the answer to.

Well monkey is.

Maybe he'll use the Cossell defense and say he calls his nephew's sasquatches all the time

What good are Really Smart People when they have to work with a Really Stupid Person like Derrick?

Can we start making fun of Derrick for having to have someone else take his SAT exam?

I forgot my Balckberry at home and can't find any way past the firewall to get the live stream. I can access the podcast. Hopefully they are timely in putting those up.

steering this back to the original really smart people:

so today I'm doing my thing and what do I notice on the table for discussion but Cubs reconstruction. The have their usual team there with Lufrano, his assistant, big law firm attorney with associates in two for double billing, architecture firm, etc. At the tail end of the group was non other than Dan Bernstein proclaimed deal maker Julian Green. I knew this would be an opportunity to test my theory about Bernstein having absolutely no sophistication with the whole Wrigley improvement story. They all got up from their seats in the back when it came time for their presentation...all except the guy Dan tabbed as proof that they were finally taking these negotiations seriously. He remained in the back of the room without any mention. Every single person involved made a statement, except for him. I guess he must have been pulling the strings behind the scenes.

It just gives you a little insight into the bullshit that Dan is slinging so often when he speaks so self assuredly on wider ranging subjects.

Scott in Davenport bought and statistically analyzed the Gary from Evanston book. The B&B extended universe is really folding in on itself in ways I don't like.

what did derrick do that negated all the management by smarter people? they're acting like derrick saying he could come back is some sort of giant crisis as opposed to being a slow midweek day in early december.

I believe the emailer said "no matter how much help he got from [all manner of Really Smart People], Derrick showed, as he did with his SATs, that he is a poor student." I guess they coached him on what to say and then Bulls Employee Sam Smith rattled him and made him forget his script.

Whatever, fairly plausible, but the annoying part was how Dan opened the show with this great Lightbulb Moment that welp, there's no way around it anymore, boys: DERRICK ROSE IS, INDEED, A TARD. Pretty ballsy to present it this way when Dan has been implying that Derrick Rose is a tard for the last, oh, five years. He sure didn't afford Derrick Rose any intelligence or agency when he lauded Derrick's brothers early on for making him live in a house in Deerfield and not letting him out after sunset. Or the tsk-tsking that damn near slicing his hand off with an apple parer was the inevitable collateral damage of teaching Li'l Baby Derrick how to eat real people food and not just gummi worms, and that it's a good thing he's going to have a personal chef from now on. Or when Derrick was flashing gang signs in a pot haze because he, the child of Englewood who actually did move out, just plumb didn't realize what they meant. Or when Derrick had to be scolded to LISTEN. TO. HIS. DOCTORS. Or when during this time Patrick Kane had to bear all personal responsibility for being a dumbass without the benefit of having his failures shirked to his "handlers" because he, despite what's actually when you sit and think about it just as bizarre and emotionally arresting a childhood as any, should know better. But yeah, this just in.
