Kevin Hart will star in Ballers, alongside LeBron James, who’ll be making his feature film debut.

Ballers will tell the story of a man (Hart) who lives in the shadow of his NBA superstar brother (James), but gets a chance to prove himself when he and some of his friends go to a weekend fantasy basketball camp in Miami. There’s no word on who’ll direct yet, but production is set to start next summer during James’ vacation.

According to Deadline, James has been looking for the chance to make his film debut for a couple of years now, but Ballers has taken a while to get going.

Brian Grazer and Michael Rosenberg will produce Ballers for Imagine.

Hart may be small in size, especially when compared to James, but he’s a got a big job in this movie. He’s also co-writing the script with Joey Wells, Chris Spencer and Harry Ratchford. And he’ll also serve as executive producer, along with James, Maverick Carter and Imagine’s Kim Roth.
