I usually enjoy Mac busting Harry's balls, but it seems that lately he has had a lot more animosity towards Tiny Bubbles. The way he ended his column this week makes we wonder what Harry has done this time to get the Wrath of Mac. I have not been able to listen everyday this week, has Mac given any insight to this topic? How much longer will it be MJH? Will the H stand for Hood? God I hope not. Wow. I'd have to say, because Mac is feeling free to take shots at Harry in his column...that he knows something we don't. As in, Harry's days are numbered.

And why shouldn't he? Mac has professed that he loves Harry like a brother on-air and here. He is now ripping his ass in a public forum. Has MJH become the New York Giants of sports radio?

I'd love to hear Harry fire back...but what can he say? He seriously thinks he is funny. Wow.

Mac, Jurko, and Jurko's farts are a better threesome than MJH. Funnier too.

I have noticed Dan has been taken shots at Harry all week and has grown thin skinned with him. I don't know if this is an attempt to stir the pot and bring an edge to the show but Dan should remember that Harry was there when they were number #1 and it was Dan given the time off not Harry.So to point the finger at Harry as if he's the reason things have fallen is a misjustice of Character on Dan's part.

Dan has made reference to Harry's drinking a few times this week as well and if Harry has a problem and it's affecting his role with the show then that needs to be addressed as well.

The fact Dan has been throwing Harry under the bus all week and his comments in the paper today should be a concern for Harry and I think you guys piling on Harry on this site has Dan thinking that Harry is too blame for the tailspin they are in. Is it fair? I don't know but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Mac really got some yardage out of the Golden Tee reference by Spinnin Bucket. I heard him use on the show and give credit to someone on the board and now it's in the column.

Lets hope Mac can take it as good as he gives it or I see suspensions on the horizon from an on air smackdown. Although I put my money on a production meeting melee.

I used to defend Harry. I could see where others were annoyed with him but I felt he was an important part of the show. I no longer feel that way. Something has changed over the last few months and I find his act annoying. It causes me to change the dial or turn the radio off. Maybe Mac's tired of it too.

I'm sure this has been joked about before but Im slow so I just got it now.

For almost three years, a high percentage of the thoughts expressed in this forum have been anti-Harry sentiments. I fire on him for four days (five counting my column today, I guess) and now it's "Poor, Harry." Pick a lane, kids.

In no way have I dropped blame in anybody else's lap for one crummy book. I'm looking at the big picture and that is taking the show to the next level... evolving as a show. It's not too difficult to project which cast member will be most resistant.

Most of what I said was just the usual ball busting, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit to being pissed at the dog bit stuff last week. It shouldn't have happened and a lot of other things about which we roll our eyes shouldn't happen. I think it's time to request a heavier hand from LJC and AD. I also don't dispute the assessment I'm concerned about Harry's drinking. I am. It takes one to know one.

As for Carmen driving Thursday, it was my idea, and it was resisted by the producers and by AD. We "negotiated" that I would bring it out of the top of the hour to be the first voice out of the open (Delevitt insisted). Based on a suggestion here that some of the spontaneity goes bye-bye with a three-man booth, I wanted to get a feel for "the third chair" and observe some other habits. I learned several things and will share them with showmates Monday... then with you consultants. I also trust Carmen driving it more than I would J or H. I made no secret I wasn't feeling well, either. Been doing everything I was asked to do by doctors (stretching, chiro adjustments, weight loss) and it looks like L-4, L-5 fusion surgery is imminent anyway. Enjoy your 20s and 30s.

I love the fact Mackey's got a little Mo Green in him and is slapping his brother around in public.

Go get'em tiger!! I love the edgy Danny Mac.

I liked the fact that Mac sat in 'a different' chair yesterday - it gave the show a different dynamic. Hopefully the chair was a bit more comfortable on his back.

I usually like J-Hood with Mac and Jurko when Harry is gone. And Carm sitting in when Mac is gone.

Regarding the shot at Harry in his column... While I agree that Harry sounded as if he was out of line last week (I couldn't listen, so I don't know), maybe he felt that with Mac gone, the SUBSTITUTE teacher (aka authority figure) filling in was Justin Craig or Delly, and if they were OK with his 'comedy segments' (cough cough) then Mac's shot at Harry is a bit misguided - he should be equally as aggravated at those two. 'Calling out of a teammate' in the media isn't usually a good thing. ...but this is just my opinion. Harry brings a certain percentage of listeners to the MJH Show, but I guess the bigger question is how many does he make leave the last neighborhood corner tavern?

I don't mind the edgy Mac either - but given Pastor's propensity to drop the hammer down - I'd prefer hearing Mac on the air.

I still can't believe the 'edgier Mac' didn't shotgun Caller Josh the other day. I guess Josh was the fly to the thoroughbred.

In fairness to LJC, he was on his honeymoon. I also have discussed this with the producers (before and again after vacation) and I'm optimistic this can be curbed. What frustrates me is that Harry still doesn't get it how bad some of those bits are conceptually. And his name is on the neon sign outside the saloon, so I think it sometimes is easy for the producers to back off when he pushes for something. They do, afterall, have to keep all three of us happy. That is a tough juggling act for them sometimes.

Mac, I have never really heard Jurko's opinion on all of this. Does he share your sentiments about Harry overall. I have heard before that they are particularly fond of eachother, but Jurko seems like such an easygoing guy that I can see him just trying to stay out if.

Did you see Rex Grossman's interview on Monday Night Football? He said 95% of the bears fans he met in person this off season were very supportive. How people act to a person, especially a "celebrity", face to face doesn't always reflect how they actually feel. Plus, I don't doubt that Harry would be a good time to party with.

Agreed, and I think some people, myself included, go to far in criticizing Harry on a personal level. I think he is a terrible sports radio host, but overall he seems like a genuinely good guy and I feel bad for him sometimes, but it would be like if Jonathon Quinn was the kindest, greatest guy in the world. You would like to hang out with him, just not have him QB your team. I wouldnt mind hangin out with Harry, I just dont want to listen to him on the radio.

Well said... except hang out is one thing, I'd take a pass on attending a James Taylor concert with him.

When the producers can't even get parking passes from the station - it just goes to show you how much 'authority' they really have. It's not lost on us listeners.

There is only one lane to take--FIRE HARRY and the show improves immediately.

I disagree with both those points. The easiest way to reclaim the top spot is if Mac, Jurko, and Harry were there almost every show throughout football season. If they are, that alone will regain them the top spot. I would be shocked if B&B beats them in that scenario.

Also I think this forum is a good microcosm of the sports radio listeners. I think there is a ecclectic group of posters, all with different opinions and likes and dislikes. I think it is a fairly accurate portrayal of the general public''s opinion when it comes to the show.

Before I became Mr. Big Shot no-it-all sports radio critic I liked the show for what it was. All three people filled a good role. Now that I analyze it through this board, I notice things more. It's kind of like how when I see computers used in movies I pick up on how fake and stupid it looks whereas others I am watching it with I do not.

Harry has a place in the show, but he has gotten out of control. I bet 50% of the audience doesn't notice as they are casual fans who may turn in once a week. The other part of the audience is starting to discover that things such as "team of destiny" or "(insert player/coach here) is the greatest player in team history" is not just blind homerism, but pointless radio.

I listen to sports radio to be:
A) Entertained
B) To hear talk and analysis of sports.

The over the top homerism is neither. It isn't entertaining. I understanding saying "COATCH" or "DITKA" but I don't want to hear how Devin Hester is the greatest player ever or Lou Pinella is already the greatest Cubs manager in history. Give the reasons and analyze why and I don't have a problem. Ever segment on the show should have at least one of those two reasons I listen, and at least 75% of them should be both.

Harry should stay as he is a valuable part of the team, but he needs to understand that the show needs to stay in a certain direction.
