Murph called him "McCowan" and "McNown". Whether you like Murph or not, he's one of us. I was never a big listener, as of course, he's always going to be heavy on Cubs talk. But I like that he doesn't give baseball the short shuffle. There are shows on the Score that like to dismiss baseball with some version of "The Cubs and Sox are both bad. Just bad. They have no chance to win a championship so let's talk about something else." If we're not going to talk about the sports where local teams have no chance to win a championship, there's going to be a lot of hockey talk coming over the airwaves. Murph blew the bugle!

I catch about an hour of this a week. I dont know what it is but I like it a lot. Maybe because neither of them take themselves too seriously and there's no drama. Never liked Murphy on 670 but I think it was because it was all baseball/cubs. For the most part this is what I wish sports radio would be.

Murph and Fred work well together. Just fans talking to fans.

Per Murph this morning, Cubs tried to get exisiting major bank and pizza sponsors to pay 40% MORE this season and these sponsors told "Tank" Ricketts and the Cubs to go fuck themselves.

Murph referring to callers named John as "Johnson" remains all kinds of bizarre.

Bizarre for normal people. Tame by weird ass Murph standards. He is a freak.

Even John Dewan blew him off today. Even though he no longer wants to predict on the SuperBowl,I was surprised he didn't come on with Murph. The Duke did.
